Apparently it is now.
Thanks Obama.

Ha! So now Iâm racist, right?
If Expecting someone to do their job, which they get millions of dollars for is racist- then so be it.
Yours is exactly the type of weak assed reasoning that makes the people who buy into IP look like blithering idiots.

Very powerfulâŠ
And says a lot about a lot of thingsâŠ
They are using part of a live event people have paid to attend and a televised broadcast paid for by someone else for which they are being paid to participate while wearing uniforms provided for them to get their message across in an extremely public (and expensive) forum at no expense to their personal funds and time.
Right or wrong, they couldnât be less on their own time and their own dime.
So THATâS why those teams keep losing. Kneeling must be damaging their ability to run, and theyâre not able to find the endzone.
Now it all makes sense.
"For the second time this week, 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick addressed a Fidel Castro t-shirt that he wore back in August.
During Sundayâs game in Miami against the Dolphins, just two days after Castroâs death, Kaepernick was booed by the crowd. Afterward, he was asked about a back-and-forth he had with a reporter on Friday, in which he said he supported Castroâs focus on education.
âWhat I said was I agree in the investment in education. I also agree in the investment of free universal healthcare,â Castro told reporters. âTrying to push the narrative that I was supportive of the oppressive things he did is not true.â [emphasis mine]

As exemplified by what happened across the NFL this past weekend, their bosses donât seem to have a problem with what theyâre doing.
Kaepernickâs protests seem to have literally cost him his career. I would say he was on his own dime, if he were still earning one in the NFL.
If you go to a burger place and get to the counter and a woman taking your order starts the exchange with a feminist diatribe, then takes your order- What are you going to be thinking?
Iâm going to be thinking, and may even say- Shut up and get me some food, or just walk out. Depends on the day.
Also one of the reasons I donât go to Starbucks, aside from snotty baristas, is that I donât need a retail experience that involves enlightenment. I need coffee. Save the Ghandi stuff for someone that gives a shit.
I donât think that is the correct way to view âown dimeâ (although as I write this the statement seems a bit ridiculous). I see somebodyâs own time/dime as in off the clock. If somebody does something at work (they work 8-5) such as looking at porn while at the office, they are on company time and money. Them getting fired is not proof it was their own dime. When football players are at the field, they are âon the clockâ and are clearly not on their own time.
Edit: Iâm replying to ED who was the latest comment but this is more the discussion between @batman730 and @Californiagrown
For your analogy to be accurate, wouldnât the order have to be delayed exactly 0 seconds? Which means the burger flipper IS doing her job?
Oh, cool.
Iâm gonna wear an Adolf Hitler T-shirt to a press-conference about how oppressed people are in America and then say, âHey, man, itâs because I support Hilterâs pro-animal welfare stanceâ
Or maybe Iâll go with Stalin, I mean his public transportation system was off the hook.
Ridiculous.
So when you point this out, you are saying one of 2 things. Here are the possible implications.
You believe that black people are inherently more violent or predisposed to criminal activity than others. This would explain the figure youâve cited here in a very tidy way. It would also make you a racist by definition.
You believe that there is something about the American legal system, or our society at large, that is resulting in this figure. This would mean there is a systemic racist issue in this country.
As far as I can tell, these are pretty plainly the only options here. But in either case, racism is a thing.
He lost his job because he played like hot garbage his last two years and has a monster contract no wants.
You are correct.
Going a step further if I were to show up in uniform, on shift (e.g. company time/dime) and use that forum to voice my political views/protests I would also expect to very shortly find myself up on disciplinary action and eventually of work.
Go sit at a different lunch counter. Donât interrupt my lunch, find somewhere else to protest that doesnât mess with my enjoyment of my afternoon milkshake.
Go protest on a different bridge. I need to go to the other side of town today and I am severely inconvenienced by your actions. Go stage a March in your own backyard or something where I donât have to see it.
Fuck em.
Sorry man. I donât suffer for other peoples causes.
Donât like it?
Go protest at the Starbucks I wonât be buying coffee at.
Youâre right. Black people had no business marching for civil rights in the 50s and 60s because there were lots of other issues to March about.
YOU must be the affected demographic before you are willing to support ANYTHING that could upset your delicate sensibilities.
Sorry man. I donât suffer for other peoples causes.
Is someone FORCING you to?
Look up a couple posts and see how many people are literally saying that if an issue does not affect them directly, they donât give a fuck, and to not talk to them about it.
Right or wrong, they couldnât be less on their own time and their own dime.
I wonât get into his motives, but the fact is that Kaepernick pretty much ended his career with kneeling as no franchise wanted to sign him after last season.
So obviously the stance that he hasnât suffered any consequences for his kneeling simply isnât valid.
Serious question - is Kaepernick considered black? Without the afro he looks Sicilian, at least to me. I thin the binary definition of race in the US (well, if you include that bizarre thing with Spanish language speakers considered as another âraceâ)
Athletes have historically been harbingers of social change, so using the forum of a sporting event IS in keeping with that tradition.
Protesting risks their financial future. Look at kap.
