It’s not just her, there are plenty of others just there to get off to. I don’t really care if they’re there, pretty things make everyone feel better. Just don’t call them athletes. The captions are not easily accesible. Clicking the figure athlete title, and the picture is.
I’ve been around for a while, I know women aren’t the key demographic. Especially me, I think Miss Parker is the only other combat girl. BoxingAsh maybe. It just irked me, this is where we all bitch and moan. I don’t really expect any change. In fact this very issue may have been brought up before, by women whose logs can no longer be found. [/quote]
I completely agree with you. I get that this is a site “for men” so I try to keep most of my opinions on the matter to myself, but sometimes it gets to me. I very rarely even look at those pictures because it is counterproductive for me.
Some of the women are in great shape and inspire me to keep working hard, but when I see a skinny chick with toothpick legs and negligible arm development who is up there because she has a skinny waist I get really frustrated.
I know this doesn’t apply to everyone, but I used to have a major eating disorder and have spent the last three years working to get away from the idea that I needed to be waifish to be sexy. Then I am confronted with pictures illustrating the exact opposite. Obviously it is what it is, but given that the topic is open for bitching I am throwing in my 2 cents.
When the site split off into MWA and then FA I dutifully switched sites, but when they stopped running articles over on FA I found myself spending more time over here again.
I used to enjoy the fact that an article pertaining to female training would occasionally pop up. Sure, I have used some of the programs outlined for guys, but every so often it would be nice to read an article explaining how I can add size to my shoulders without increasing my traps.
I have no problem with sexy women in bikinis, but maybe we could find a few more pics of those same ladies glistening with sweat under a bar…while wearing said bikini. Surely that would be something we could all appreciate.
