Things You Want to Achieve

I want this to be a positive thread. List any short or long term goals or whatever that you want to achieve. I’ll start.

I want to strengthen my legs a thousand fold or we could just say my squat. I didn’t learn how to squat last year and all I had to do was post a form video. My squat could’ve progressed like my bench and deadlift. Now I screwed up my training max for bbb beefcake. Sometimes i feel like bashing my head in. But I will conquer this lift and do the programs T3hPwnisher told me to and dagill as my witness.

Return to previous strength levels and beyond following ma back injury.

My goals are all around my children and setting them up to lead a happy and fulfilling life.

My only lifting goals around this are to expose them at an activity which maintains their physical health, builds social relationships and creates the environment to foster mental toughness.

Become portfolio manager, then CIO of my own hedge fund. Break off and relocate to the Cayman islands, ensure my family never has to worry about money.

Edit: convince my wife to do a MWW three way.

Ironically part 1 of your goals is infinitely more likely than part 2.

Happiness.

A wise Brit once said that happiness is a warm gun … Then again he also said everybody had someyhing to hide except him and his monkey so take that with a grain of salt

Can’t trust those scousers…

Long termg goals are to squat and deadlift 600lbs, (maybe) bench 405lbs, and press 315lbs. Long term, as in, very long term. Like maybe 20 years. I have no idea where my life and training will go, so no clue as to the timeline. The deadlift sounds very hard, but doable. I have no idea as to the other lifts, especialy the upper body movements.

If I don’t get those numbers, I’ll be ok. It might not be in the cards for me, but I’m hoping I can someday, and I know if I hit them I’ll be content.

Short term? Squatting and deadlifting 315lbs again, preferably with some ease. Improving my conditioning and just getting in really good shape again is probably what’s most important. I want to be running more often and just able to move around and not get winded haha.

Good question. I’ve never been much of a goal setter.

In the next 6-9 months my goal is to cross over $1,000 in net income from my side hustle. Within 5 years my goal is to earn $5,000/year or more.

Fitness wise, my current short/medium goal is to drop down to whatever weight my abs will show (I’m guessing 170-175). 8-10% bf or so. The goal is to achieve that by my 34th birthday in April.

I’m tossing around the idea of getting an MBA, but I’m pretty burnt out from my CMA and Masters in Accounting. I’ve also been approached for a Controller job, but I’m not sure I want to go in that direction; although, I should for a number of reasons.

I want to retire early and do nothing. Buy an obscene house in my old town, set up a cat shelter, take part in illegal car drift races on weekends. Buy a monkey and teach it to smoke cigars. Like the day I formally collected my civilian id from the military. I bought a fishing line, a hook and went fishing at an old pier without any bait. Fell asleep under the sun. People trying to contact me on the phone were asking me why. I told them “Why not? My time belongs to me again. I can do whatever the fuck I want with it.”

Lifting wise; I want to be strong as fuck. Which is subjective and completely on me, however, I’m not there yet. More specifically, I want to blast though this goddamn deadlift platau.

Career wise; I want to maintain the steady progress I’ve made. It’s going well, at the cost of a few social sacrifices, but so be it. It’s my main focus currently.

Personal well being wise; I’d like to find more time for friends, but they’re understanding and it clashes with the first two goals currently. I’m happy with my SO and generally happy at home, albeit a bit tired.

Do it. The cash is there and the hassle is about the same as being an underling. You’re just responsible for every fucking thing.
