Things You’ve Always Wondered About

Some joints can be described as strong: Shoulders, hips

Some joints can’t be described as strong but they can be weak: knees, elbows

Some muscles (groups) can be described as strong: upper back, quads, glutes

Some muscles (groups) can be described as big but rarely strong: biceps, calves

Some can be big and strong…

I wonder how this came to be… I feel it is a grammar thing.

I feel like my shoulder joint is definitely a weak joint…

Alternatively, I always thought calves were strong as hell. Even out of shape guys can load up a metric ton of weight on a leg press and inch it back and forth with their calves for a few reps. Now is that doing anything? Probably not, but I sure as hell couldnt do it with my biceps.

My go to breakfast is oats with protein, blueberries, cinnamon, peanut butter and occasional banana.
Also, are there any peanut butter and bacon sandwich fans on here beside me?

I grew up with a very abusive, bipolar father. He was raised by SEVEN different dads who sucked. I’m sure their dad’s sucked as well. I planned on the cycle ending with me. Now I’ve raised one step-daughter who is older and married, and I have a biological son and four step-sons at home. I wouldn’t give them up for anything. I’m certainly not the best father, but I’m not abusive and I love them. I know they will all be better fathers than I am.

This was my attitude as well. My parents sucked, but not as much as their parents, and I’ve sucked much, much less because I was determined not to. I hope as a result my children will find it seamlessly easy to be outstanding parents.

I was talking to my husband about a grueling bike ride and in talking about a big hill noted, “I had to stand and use my running muscles.” And he goes “You mean your bodyweight?”

Jerk. He’s lucky he’s got a smile that makes me smile back. And also that he was kind of right.

Congrats

Congrats also

Why girls my age are so interested in that zodiac sign bs. It’s so annoying.

If I was ever meant to be a leader of some sort… I feel like I have a calling, for what I don’t know. I don’t want to be some harsh ruler and I’m not on some power trip… but somehow I would like to guide people in a kind but straightforward fashion.

What sort of monster farts in their own hot shower?

Joe does

And that is another example of how you are missing the point.

It’s a great conversation point.

For example. Let’s say you were born on April 1st - April Fools’ Day, and the girl is having her birthday today. That makes you Aries, and her Libra.

A quick Google, would get you this:

Then you find things like:

"These two Signs share the great sexual attraction common to all Signs opposite in polarity. "

"Aries is ruled by the Planet Mars and Libra is ruled by the Planet Venus. This is a great match, as these are the Planets of Passion and Love, respectively. Venus and Mars go well together as they’re the two sides of the love relationship coin. "

Etc. etc.

This gives the opportunity for conversations like: “oh, look how good we will be together, it’s written in the stars…”

To be said in a light hearted, almost gentle teasing way…

You just need to make an effort that looks effortless. A bit of forethought and empathy.

AND… NO FUCKING MEMES!

BTW, hello everybody. Long term lurker from the UK here.

I still think they’re stupid so I’ll never talk about it with anyone.

Most things girls are into are stupid. At some point you’ll realize to eat the forbidden taco one must play the stupid games.

Fixed it for you.

Let’s not pretend we don’t all have ridiculous hobbies and interests at some point in our lives.
