WOW I had a badass star wars dream last night.
SO it’s on some hyooge space ship (so big there are like forests and skies inside), and me and some friends are there trying to find the evil Sith Lord and kill him (some old dude). I am some rather inexperienced Jedi initiate. There was some wookie guy, some other people with guns, and a jedi chick with black hair and lip stick. There is also the ‘good’ military on the ship helping us, but they end up dying like in all the movies.
So anyway, we have to travel around fighting monsters and stuff, and at some point there comes this entire army of brainwashed Jedi to kill us (btw the pornstar Jedi chick dies and I take her purple lightsaber). At first it’s like these Jedi are birds and then they land and they fight me. We battle with kong-fu through many places (some houses and futuristic appartments like from Star Trek), and I use my Darth Vader ‘choke’ powers to kill some of them in interesting ways. So I taunt them and stuff and there are many of them but I own their asses.
In my dreams i can swim really deep in oceans in nothing but jeans and a t-shirt. I’ve had a recent obsession with Plane Earth and the Blue Planet DVDs.

Lucid dreaming is one of the coolest things ever. I get lucid dreams on a regular basis. They usually consist of fights, cool areas and flying or jumping. I have a very weird relationship with dreams. My dreams are often incredibly vivid and realistic. Usually when I eat something in my dreams I can taste it and smell it well.
I can also read in my dreams, and understand what is being read. I find it interesting that most people can’t understand what they read. There have been times when I have read letters or books and clearly remembered passages upon waking.
A particularly cool dream was were two guys were chasing me and trying to kill me. So at one point, they shoot at me. I held my hand out like Neo to try and stop the bullets (it sometimes works, but you have to BELIEVE that the bullets will stop in mid air), but one of them went through my arm. I FELT THE BULLET TRAVELLING THROUGH MY ARM.
Now this may not be very special to others, but it was FREAKY for me. It just felt really odd to have this bullet move through your outstretched arm, and out of your body. However, it didn’t harm me. It was just a sort of ticklish, odd feeling.
Then the men, seeing that they hadn’t killed me, got into a red car, started the engine, and accelerated. They were going to run me over. As they sped up and nearly were on me, I jumped up and my legs smashed through the front window, killing them both (This is straight out of Sin City. I guess my subconscious loved that part so much, that it wanted to implement it, lol). It was all very cool.
I have also flown numerous times. Sometimes I am almost floating in the air, kind of drifting with my bodyweight above a city; other times I am almost gliding right above the ground.
Lucid dreaming is a technique that can be learnt. I took the time in the past to practice it, and now it comes easier. If anyone is interested I can post some useful links to some techniques on lucid dreaming. It’s actually more of a psychological thing than anything else. Prior to going to sleep you have to KNOW that you are going to lucid dream, and BELIEVE it etc.
I have heard that some particularly talented lucid dreamers can do all sorts of really, really cool stuff in their dreams. You can apparently make entire worlds and galaxies in your head (BTW, if you ever lucid dream, try looking up at the sky. While never having managed to do it myself, I have heard that it will look very beautiful.
A reflection of your imagination or something. I just remember seeing a pink and indigo backdrop with a chain of stars in one of my dreams where I was flying).
Lucid dreaming is definitely the shit, except im such a caveman retard when it happens to me. If i realize that im in a dream my first instinct is to fuck anything and everything
Sometimes I can only see a small portion of what is happening, as if it is hazy in the rst of my vision, some kind of tunnel vision.
I also never dream in colour. Is this normal, and it never seems real. I get told by people that their dreams seem real but mine never do.
My favourite dream. Riding a quad bike down a cobbled road topless, noyl wearing camo trousers. Then going into a tent to see a foxy chick.
Anohter, chasing david hasselhof downa coach isle, then he suddenly has a motorbike, so I get on a scooter, and proceed to kill him.
Lucid dreaming kicks ass!
I usually choose to fly if I realize that I’m dreaming. And by fly I mean like Superman fly. I can slow down, speed up, just lift myself straight off the ground and levitate myself along (though I actually prefer the Superman style flight). Lots of fun.
I have a friend who’s even more talented than I am at lucid dreaming. He’s the type who can actually create his own worlds in his dreams if he chooses to.
I have anothing friend who returns to the exact same dream world every time he sleeps. He says it’s actually like another world. He’s got a regular job there, he has friends there, there are stores where he shops. It’s actually like an alternate universe that he visits every night when he sleeps.
As far as the punching and running thing, yeah that’s happened to me before too, and it really pisses me off when it does. LOL. Trying to run and not having it work is one of the times when I regularly become conscious that I’m dreaming though and usually just choose to fly instead.
The punching thing hasn’t happened as often. A couple times I got so frustrated that I actually woke myself up. Others I realized that I was dreaming and immedietely was able to generate superhuman strength punches.
Also, when I was practicing MA seriously I used to have dreams about fighting much more regularly. I actually would be trying to punch or kick in the dream so hard that I would actually wind up punching or kicking for real. A bunch of times I’d end up punching or kicking the wall next to my bed really hard, which would wake me up. Thank god I didn’t have anyone else in the bed with me at those times. LOL.
Der Candy, if you’ve got any links to lucid dreaming techniques I’d love to see them (if you’ve already posted some I apologize for not going through the entire thread first to see).

Same here. I can’t fight for shit in most dreams. I think I have successfully fought and won in maybe three dreams. The rest it seems that I just couldn’t swing and if I did the punches were slow and soft.
I am the exact opposite. My dreams are amazing. I always win fights in my dreams. And it doesn’t matter how many guys are fighting me or how they are armed. Swords, guns, it doesn’t matter. I always destroy them with my bear hands. It is so cool to wake up from a dream like this.
Two other things: I fly all the time in my dreams. Not just through the open air either. I fly inside of buildings. I remember once flying slowly inside a train, going from one car to the other all the way down the train.
I can also breathe underwater. It always works the same way. I get underwater then I think I am going to have to surface soon for air when suddenly, I realize I am still breathing regular air even though I am underwater. It is always surprising no matter how many times it happens.

I have something similar to this sometimes. It always happens when I am in a hurry to get somewhere or to get something done. I can’t see clearly. It is like something is pulled down over my eyes. I can see the ground immediately in front of me but no further. This sometimes happens when I am being chased as well. Which brings me to another bad dream. I cannot run in dreams. Whenever I try, it is like I am in slow motion. No matter what I do I can’t go run faster. Plus, I can’t see where I am going.
One other bad dream I have: When I was in sixth grade, we moved to a new town. I hated going to the new school until I got used to it. I am now 49 years old and I still have dreams of showing up at that school having forgotten to put my pants on. After about half the day, I realize I have been running around in just my fruit of the looms. What is with that??
