Things That Piss You Off

Just like how people don’t actually like chocolate, they like chocolate-flavored sugar.

You may be right. I add lots of cream and sweet to both my coffee and chocolate. I like that more than black coffee. Though I’d still drink black coffee in a world without adjuvants. I also like mole, which is spicy chocolate. I prefer Mexican hot chocolate - less sweet, more clove.

For me, though, the combination of very sweet and very salty (chocolate covered bacon, chocolate pretzels) does not work at all and wastes two delicious ingredients. Salted caramel ice cream works and saltwater taffy are okay - if not too much salt.

Yeah, I started drinking coffee again, and specifically black because I enjoy the bitterness of it, along with the heat. I like sweet things when it’s time for sweet things, but for me, a hot beverage isn’t that time. It also keeps me from drinking it too fast, haha.

I think the sweet and salty pairing works, but in certain contexts. Peanut butter and jelly works that way, although we also add sugar TO peanut butter itself, probably for the same reason. However, I’m with you: I’ve had candied bacon, and thought it just ruined good bacon.

Up early, check phone for messages if BJJ class is cancelled. No text = good news.

Prep and drive to class. Sit in parking lot with another student for 10mins or so.

Coach no show. Send him a text. No reply. Bah. Drive home and prep for work.

Things like this start to piss off students who are paying a membership for no return…

(on the positive nice early morning coffee with the mrs in a quiet house)

I remember when I was a child struggling with my seat belt.

Actually, maybe there’s an opportunity here. Behold! The new SeatStack portable crossover. Only $399.99.

Make it bluetooth capable so it can post your workouts on social media and you have the next big thing. :+1:

Looking for brutal feedback: are these the real pain points in training/nutrition apps? .

I don’t know if it’s great. Andrew came right out the door swinging, which was pretty funny.

I’ve been grilled by c-level execs in a multinational corporation, Andrew is a baby boy and I will kiss his forehead

But yes it’s a good thread and the answer is a resounding no to social media nonsense.

since im here here’s a thing that pisses me off

I can’t stand when I can’t hear the subject of the set up. All I got was "what do you call a blind [blahblah]? No idea!!! ".

And those little insta shorts get me every time with that.

Hey!!! Could you make an app that tells people when the light is green in their cars? That pisses me off when you can see them scrolling or talking at their phone long after the light has turned green.

hahaha yeah there’s an app for that in the middle of your steering wheel

I like how it’s more than the damn book itself. It’s $30

I probably could have charged that much to read the book for other people, based on how many questions I’ve answered about it.

Between 531 and supersquats, you’d have a stable source of income

Oh my god, if I didn’t find it so funny I could definitely do a “things that piss you off” about the folks talking about “The one true 5/3/1”, haha.

Or about how it’s made by a powerlifter and therefore, according to logic, can only be for powerlifting

You probably need to buy the book yourself in order to be eligible for the online course. I believe the price is for a UGL starter kit of Dianabol and sodium chloride, in order to accomplish the promised weight goal. Coaching is for free!
