Things That Piss You Off

Oh, dude - I loves me some chimi. This shitty version was just dry herbs with some oil, that’s why it sucked.

I don’t have the cilantro/soap gene, so it’s one of my favorite flavors.

Speaking of genes, I met a guy once who claimed he was confused that everyone said asparagus makes your pee smell bad, did a genetic test, and has a gene that makes him special.

Proper chimi is dynamite.

People describe cilantro having a light, herby flavor. I wish there was some artificial way to experience what it tastes like without it tastiing like I bit a bar of irish spring.

I read an article the other day that says the people who like cilantro are the ones with the mutated genes.

I think I’ve mentioned this here before, but I think it tastes like soap and that’s why I like it. Soap smells yummy. Does that make me a double mutant?

I’m pissed off by people who don’t turn on their blinker before hitting the brakes.

I’m pissed off when someone misinterprets analyzing the problem to find a solution as “complaining.”

They deff don’t teach that in Stoke on Trent mate.

What the actual fuck?

Jesus Christ this is the most retarded thing I’ve heard of in a long time

America has become so paranoid about addiction… imagine having a c section (major operation), being given pain relief, then getting in trouble for testing positive for opiates or benzodiazepines

Midazolam is given to almost everyone undergoing surgery… and most don’t even know (it’s generally given as an IV shot and the doctor will say something like “this might make you feel a bit funny” before administering)

In Australia we are also strict as fuck about these drugs but we almost never drug test patients, and work only generally drug tests if you are like a med school student during residency or a blue collar worker operating heavy machinery etc

We do however have roadside drug tests that look to fine you 1500$+, suspend license for 3-6 months for having taken something 1-3 days ago and they’re done via checkpoints on the road that randomly pull in cars (or sometimes cause traffic pileups by pulling in everyone)

Australia has become progressively more authoritarian with time. Pre 2000s we were actually a really cool country from what I can tell.

Not to be all American (though I love America and lived there for seven years) but it honestly seems like a lot of this shit started when we took away gun rights from law a aiding citizens (felons/those with violent backgrounds generally weren’t allowed to own guns at any time).

The guy who did the port Arthur shooting (justification for the massive crackdown in late 90s that literally gets worse every year) was schizophrenic and obtained his firearms illegally

Australia went from having a hunting/gun culture to the average citizen has NEVER fired a gun and wouldn’t know how to operate one even if it were life and death in just 25-30 years

I’d move back to America if I could. I think my family made a massive mistake by not taking up the offer to get full citizenship and stay there. Economically Australia completely fucked itself through Covid and we never recovered (just a constant decline).

White privilege on full display

From the country that gave us Mad Max, AC / DC, Chopper, Fortress, and Angry Anderson… Sad

That’s racist!

But in all seriousness, there should be more consequences for false claims against anyone.

Absolutely… hammer them. Having been falsely accused I can tell you it’s not fun

I get that on one hand, but on the other hand I think it would make it less likely for people to recant false claims. I don’t know what the middle ground is.

I also don’t want to discourage people with legitimate claims. I’m not sure about the middle ground either.

Maroon, what does race have to do with it?

Because 99% of the discussion and reporting at the time was about the lacrosse players white privilege that led them to feel like they could rape a black stripper.

Your bait has been really loooow quality lately…
