I don’t know what the party is called, but it’s a Catholic schools so it was probably just the teacher’s word choice for the email.
Edit: In fact she wishes everyone a happy Christmas holiday later in the email.

Because of zero repurchase… imagine claiming white privilege exists
Not the father confirmed… looks like Bolo Yeung
Whats with all these articles popping up, really
They’re pushing the crazy threads down.
I bet that university, or any university, could function without a president. You could include at least half of all admin positions with that.
Lol… fucking vermin. What charlatans and bottom feeders
Restaurants and bars. Awful service, horrible food and drinks, unbearable ambience at a premium price. My wife although being a great cook insists on dinning out every now and then, and its been few years now I cant find a good bar or a restaurant.
People driving like mad. When I was younger I used to drive fast, but never risking anyones life with stupid over takes or break checks. Nowadays I am a slow driver and it drives me nuts that most people overtake me very risky.
Deluded business owners. I worked briefly for a company that was a competitor for the previous company I worked for. I negotiated a salary that was higher then their standard, but almost equal to my previous company. After 3 months I was told I am not competent and I was fired. I told them that my target in the last company I worked for was equal to their entire company’s target (true story). I saw them looking confused and salty.
The company I worked previously for is now suffering from my absence according to ex co-workers. Apperantly the owner has hired 4 people to do my job. I contacted her to negotiate a job offer and that I am good to get back and forget and even admited I was rude and I made a mistake. After a week she decided to decline, although she is earning 3/4 of what she was earning with me.
Now I am contracted to another competitor.
Advise for business owners. Always be on track with the job you are doing. Everything gets outdated very fast, so if you are not doing the job and your management is not doing the job you may be incompetent to train any replacement or a new worker. Spend some time doing actual sales, accounting, marketing or whatever your company does.
Most teachers too imo.
I think most of my gen ed teachers could have been replaced by ChatGPT and I wouldn’t have noticed
Because gen ed shouldn’t exist. What’s the point of taking an intro to philosophy class? Or a year of a foreign language? Ideally, colleges should look at subject matter and say that an educated person should have more than a cursory knowledge of philosophy. An educated person should have a decent level of fluency in another language. There was a time when an educated person knew Latin, Greek and French. You’re an English major? Well, you still need to know Calculus. Sure, college will be harder, but not everyone should be going to college. High school should prepare you for a lot of these jobs that today require a college degree anyway.
The problem is that half of what kids learn in college should have already been learned in high school.
I took an intro to philosophy class as an elective because it was better than another sociology class and the prof literally said “I hate this textbook. It maybe should be used it highschool but even then you could read this for fun”. Just something I found funny, he looks exactly like Moby.
I didn’t learn shit from the algebra classes I had to take because we learned it all in highschool. It was super annoying
Personally, my biggest pet peeve is when someone goes grocery shopping and leaves their cart in the middle of the parking lot; or when someone doesn’t rack their weights… both are essentially the same self-centered behaviour.
Don’t professors get to choose the books they use?
Not necessarily. Some of the large intro classes are quite standardised to accommodate many sections
Makes sense. I go to a small school. Different professors will teach the same basics - Comp 101, Intro to Psych, etc. but they all teach them differently.
Besides the two required science courses, I’ve never actually used an actual textbook. All of my professors are anti-textbook.
Agree 100%. Self-centered, lazy, inconsiderate, etc.
Sometimes, all these people have to do is move <10 steps to wheel the cart into one of those pickup areas. Personally, I like to shop near closing to avoid people; if my cart would be the only one in of the pickup areas (pickups are pretty much done), I will wheel it back to the store if I’m not in a hurry.
This is my favorite thing.
