Things That Piss You Off

I’d get a copy of the footage as the first step.

Start a conversation with your state rep, intimating the footage. Then based on how that goes show him/her the footage.

Its ass backwards, but bureaucracys like police departments like to act like you’re bothering them by pushing shit uphill, when in fact they have forgotten the directional flow of power here in the US.

Start easy then ramp up pressure until the local corrupt flunkies break.

And document everything- Time, date, people spoken to, conversation notes, etc.

It becomes very important to have that shit square if you start ramping up the pressure.

Marking to come back and fill out a response this evening.

I like the way you think.

Yes. The lawyer will know.

HIre a criminal attorney ASAP.

This sounds like something very fishy is going on with the police. The attorney will be able to escalate this quickly and make noise, if it is not addressed and taken through the proper procedures.

The light that is being shined on cops currently - the media would have a field day with this. And any attorney worth his salt would take this to the media and higher powers, if the police refuse to do their job. That is a shitstorm no PD wants.

You have video footage. I would go after those 3 criminally and civilly.

$300+ dollars doesn’t just disappear from my green crayon bank I had ever since I was a kid. My 20s, 10s, 5s, my goddam Sacagawea dollar coins, gone reduced to atoms.

I never touched the money in there, all that’s left are a couple of coins….

I’m not lending any more money to my older brother. (I lended like damn near $2000) He needs to get his shit straight. I know he’s lying… what a shitty way to come back home for my uncle’s birthday celebration.

Damn, that sucks.

Is he using drugs or something?

Yes

We share a room so obviously we share a dresser.

The dresser is full of so many tablets, vials, and needles. All steroids and shit, steroids up the wazoo.

I love my brother, but I don’t know if I can let this slide. I asked him 5 times now and he still denies. If I tell my dad, the situation is going to escalate and not end well……

Has he taken or “borrowed” money from them too?

He owes my parents money, my older sister money, and me money.

Thats not good. Sorry to hear that.

Have you, your sis, and parents ever had a sit down about all of this money that he has gotten from all 3 of you?

I have a nephew that is doing the same thing to his parents…but they are enabling the situation by doing nothing about it

tough, hard love choices is not easy to do, but may be necessary

I’m so sorry that this happened

IMO, it’ll end up worse if you don’t tell your dad. Your dad will find out one way or another. Better now than later when it could be much worse

This is not the same situation, but my mum and aunt enabled my uncle and hid his (uncle’s) drinking from their parents. Uncle became a functioning alcoholic and died of complications from fatty liver and heart disease at 40

These can be VERY bad for the liver and kidneys, even if from a reputable source

Nah we haven’t, I think we gave up collectively tbh.

I have 2 brothers and I would not let it slide.

It is one thing to be helping people that are actively trying to get their shit together. If you are broke and buying drugs, you are not trying to get your shit together.

Broke, borrowing / stealing money, buying drugs, and living with your parents? JFC.

How old are you guys?

I’m 20, my brother is 24, and my sister is 21.

I’m going to call my Dad and tell him this weekend.

It’s not the first time my brother lied. He dropped out of college his sophomore year and my parents never knew until his expected graduation date.

Yeah that’s ridiculous. Sounds like he needs some tough love.
