I took this in high school and got top marks and according to the recruiter for the navy finished the math section faster and more accurately than anyone had seen. He tried to push me into their nuclear engineering degree (it was tempting for the full ride but I didn’t want to get stuck on a submarine).
Yeah, my brother warned me about that. There was another test after that puts you on track for the nuke program.
I had other plans so I just bombed that one, which I likely would have anyways.
Then life had other plans.
Looking back though, sub duty and a career in nuclear power systems was a lot better option than any I’ve run into since or created myself.
Yea we’re good … nothing really to report… hope yall are good
Yeah, we are good here on the space coast. No damage just a lot of leaves and twigs down.
People at work that was hoping for a storm to make overtime
made me sick to my stomach
Thats what my brother and cousins reported too.
They’re in Naples and Spring Hill.
That’s lucky. I saw a lot of stuff from Naples that much of that town is under water. Sanibel Island is also completely underwater
Yeah, I’m seeing that on the news too.
He’s quadruplegic, so after a couple rounds when he first moved down there he started looking at stuff like elevation, food storage, emergency power and the like.
Evacuation or rescue for him is a little more complicated than normal, so he makes sure he’s prepared.
I HATE all these annoying “lifting” videos in my Instagram algorithm about the reactions of the people in the background. It seems to be a trend of being so obsessed with oneself that not only do you have get a zlillion likes from Instagram strangers about the lift itself, but now you also have to get praise about the praise you’re getting from on-lookers being impressed by you! LIKE MAKE IT STOP !!!
Putting on a fresh pair of socks and immediately stepping in water. That shit drives me bananas.
When everything seems to fall on the same week making it a stress fest.
Calling abortion rights “reproductive rights”. It’s anti-reproduction rights.
Branding … that’s all it is … branding
it’s just like calling it “gender-affirming care” when it’s child mutilation. I hate MSM , brainwashing terminology crap. Well, I mean, I could have just stopped at I hate MSM, but you know…
I am waiting for the shoe to drop that stunting/changing/inhibiting natural puberty through hormone manipulation has massively negative consequences for brain/physical development. There is no way it can’t given what we (on T Nation) know about exogenous hormone use.
Be trans, that’s fine, but let’s not pretend screwing with hormones and natural endocrine cycles is a good thing.
+is done with the same drugs we give pedophiles for chemical castration.
But I know better than to question The Science™
It is crazy hearing the talking heads say that puberty blockers are basically a risk free option. They might not cause damage to your organs or poison you, but missing or delaying puberty is going to have huge effects on a person’s development.
They are done with puberty, and raped or tried to rape a kid. They deserve it.
It’s actually a lot worse if you do it to a kid starting or about to start puberty. Done to a born male child, it will effect sexual organ development, height, bone structure, among other things.
I’d argue a .22 bullet would suffice, but potato potahto.
This is what I was actually getting at
HOAs. My HOA sent me a letter saying my front lawn looks to shitty (to be kind of fair it does) but I live in Florida where we have sand instead of soil and my yard also has 2 live oak trees whose roots suck up any water.
Of course grass won’t grow.
Now I have to buy seed and attempt to fix the lawn (May last 6 months) just to avoid a ridiculous fine.
Oh and they took the picture of the yard two days before a hurricane…
I never buying a house in an HOA again
add some compost and plant some creeping thyme. I don’t have HOA but I basically have a sand pit in my yard.
Every few years I get 1/2 a 12wheeler of garden soil or compost and seed with thyme or white clover.
