It must be the old school in me, growing up dropping a quarter in Galaga or Pac-Man, and playing that 25 cents for all you could get out of it, because when I hear about this stuff I just want to slap the fucking soul out of who ever does that.
Honestly, it shouldnt bother me because I’m a dinosaur and soooo far removed from on line gamer stuff that I think the nintendo switch is borderline hallucinogenic, so its not like it should affect my breathing.
Yet again I will mention that nearly the entire HIT community in this forum piss me off.
Reading through their comments is like watching people debate the best way to go camping… while their only camping experience came from reading a book and sleeping in their living room.
Or maybe like having a guy explain to a woman what childbirth is like.
Like it’s great you know all this technical shit about training, but you’ve got the muscular development of those weird worm-people in Men in Black.
I feel you. We all are provoked by things we don’t understand - why do people do or behave in this/that particular way?
My interest in HIT interacts with asking questions what works and what doesn’t. Hell, my own search 2-3 years ago, on how to get the most out of two days only of training a week - lead me to the HIT community. Bear in mind, no other direction on lifting weights offered this (other than as exceptions/adaptations). For me, HIT was like the best fitting glove (or shoe, for reference) I was looking for. To my surprise it has worked for me. But each to his own.
Worm-people? That was actually funny and inventive. There are quite a few well-built HIT trainees on this forum, but many keep a low profile. I wonder why?
Me, I have yet to post pictures of my efforts, as I only compete with myself, and don’t need other’s approval whether I look ok or not. With a bodyweight of 95-100 kgs and 12-15% bodyfat on a high carb diet I am not looking too far from your own avatar - at 48 y.o. Not too bad, and fine with me.
I have the luxury of working with people who often disagree and get into conflicts (at work). One of the problems I see is a failure TRYING to understand the other part - as well as not seeing the advantage of ACCEPTING other views - And also a lack of understanding that NEGOTIATION will get you further to your goals than just standing your ground. Putin and Ukraine anyone?
Keep on doing so, mate, and you shall be rewarded! LOL
To be honest, I also see what people are reacting upon at the HIT community. Not all apples look or taste the same. There are also some lemons out there…
Seriously. It’s a video game that 99.99% of players play for fun as an escape from reality. I just don’t get how you can be so pathetic that you need to cheat at a video game to feel good about yourself.
You know what, my post wasn’t fair. There’s a great group of guys over there with only a few lemons.
The HIT community has dogma that leads some to question Frank Zanes nutrition, and the non-HIT community has dogma that will lead some folk to mainline Cool Whip in search of gainz.
In hindsight, i was cranky when i wrote that post and perhaps i should’ve stayed quiet or taken a lighter tone.
I know nothing about video games but feel the same way about people who use peds in tested federations PL federations. None of us are making a living at this so using seems a bit sad a pathetic.
I called my physics professor for tutoring and he sounded pissed off like he had an attitude or something. He even sent out an email to all the students in my class saying that there would be a tutoring session today at 3, and he sounded pissed in the email.
This is so there’s no paper trail of him not doing his job. You can’t prove what happened on the phone, but when you print out an email chain of him neglecting his duties…
I ended up contacting 2 academic advisors and a professor and none of them could reach him. He popped back up in March (2021)
I’m not pissed though bc he was never obligated to work with me and I’m very grateful he hasn’t dropped the project given how much of a clusterfuck it is
