I arm wrestled my cousin 2 weeks ago at a bowling alley since he asked me randomly and I lost. My cousin trains his forearm and grip. For some reason my mom is making a big deal out of me losing.
You brought shame to your family, thatās why.
lol
Never arm wrestle bro. Its technique>strength and youāre likely to fuck up your wrist/elbow/shoulder by doing it. Iāll just straight up refuse to try if anyone challenges; id rather concede victory and pull 500lbs that night than win and be out of training for a few weeks.
But @twojarslave is right, you shamed your family and your ancestors have forsaken you.
I played football with a kid whose dad was a professional arm wrestler, who taught his kid a few tricks. Now he wasnt a tiny dude or anything, but by no means would he be considered strong, or really athletic for that matter. (Nice guy, just never would want him on the starting squad.)
anyway, at parties he would always challenge people to arm wrestle. Now, my team had some monsters. Multiple guys on the O-line squatting 500lbs, a few 365+ benches, one crazy SOB with a 400lb hang clean, just some crazy strong dudes for high school, which is probably why we did so well at state, and also why so many are NFL now. arm wrestle kid couldnt bench 225, but by hell could he absolutely dominate any man on my team in an arm wrestling match. Lots of bruised egos over that one, especially since he was far from a gracious victor lol.
The lady who decided to dump her baby in the trash:
911 call released after New Mexico baby abandoned in dumpster: āWe just found an infant child!ā | Fox News
At least the folks who found him acted promptly and thankfully were able to keep him alive.
It also pisses me off that there is a lack of social services to support young or financially deprived mothers such as the woman in the story.
I doubt she would have done such a thing if she had access to adequate services to take care of her baby. This includes easy adoption options and protection from potential abuse
True, thatās a whole other issue.
yes, and one that really really pisses me offā¦
Itās not only bad from a moral perspective, but incredibly inefficient from an economic perspective. Studies consistently show that investment in social services and maternal care more than paid off by health care savings and crime reduction
Government funded birth control has pretty good ROI.
I completely disagree with this. Sheās a monster. Monsters piss me off, and get no passes from me.
As the article stated, all 50 states have safe haven laws where newborns can be dropped off. All 50 states have rather extensive aid given out to people just like her, both from government and private sources.
There were about a gazillion things she could have done besides leave a child to die in a dumpster.
exactly, and so does GOOD sex ed. Unfortunately, āmoralā stigma prevailsā¦
In some places, yes. Colorado did an experiment which involved increasing sex ed, and lowering barriers to birth control for teens. They did this I think in 2009. They have seen lower teen pregnancy, increased HS graduation rates, and savings on social programs.
yet another reason to resent being from the Southā¦
I encourage you to not believe that adoption is āeasy.ā
People that donāt use the subject line in emails.
I had a boss who would use the subject line for the whole damn message and message the body blank ⦠usually for short stuff that required little to no elaboration or discussion ā¦
Didnāt piss me off (made me chuckle) but itās the opposite of your annoyance
Email pisses me off in general.
Iāll take an email over a meeting any day.
I also hate meetings. Knowledge work in general does not handle communication well at all.
