Things that piss me off are people who can’t even fathom the slightest deviation in opinion. They would much rather resort to ad-hominum attacks, deflection, and straw-man arguments instead of having a discussion.

Honestly one of my favorite things to do is to watch forum/Facebook conversations about mildly controversial topics and keep track of mean-time-to-insult. The average is about two back-and-forth exchanges before someone abandons reason and wordvomits like they’re on a 4th grade playground.

Sorry if yesterday I overreacted on the Covid thread by the way. It’s not really in my nature to hold grudges and silly internet feuds. I just don’t care that much. I joined this site primarily to talk about training and join others who share in the same interests as I do. I do hope to hear more insights from you in regards to training thoughts and experiences.

Drop 250+ dollars on a textbook who’s pages eventually rip out of the binder because chapter such and such has all the formal definitions I refer back to a lot.
And I’ll be damned if I’m gonna keep up with putting these things on a 500+ page textbook

Okay. So by me saying that COVID hasn’t affected my life in the slightest and putting MY personal opinions on the matter out there in a thread entitled, “How has COVID Affected You?”, I’m somehow making a mockery out of the subject? I never once hurled personal insults at you or anyone.
I presented my reasoning with facts and logic. You can disagree all you want but where I start to get a little pissed off is when you immediately call someone names who dares to question the narrative. Then when I try to extend an olive branch to you because honestly, I DON’T REALLY CARE if others have differing opinions than I, you just say “fuck off”?
