Things That Piss You Off

I know right. Everyone I see online is at $100/45lb plate. I got them for free and felt like giving someone a deal.

I had an extra trap bar and a barbell but I gave them away last week.

My company’s Product Dev is pretty bad. They’re getting better since we brought in a new CPO but they have a huge back log to get through. So, the CPO announces that effective immediately any ticket that doesn’t align with their new ā€œStrategic Product Themesā€ has been closed. Apparently, things like ā€œupdatesā€ and ā€œbug fixesā€ no longer align with strategic themes. I’m pissed that I have to go back to my clients and let them know that the development they’ve waited a year for isn’t going to happen but a bit in awe as well. I mean, we’re all playing checkers but this guy is playing chess.

Excuse me while I tell my boss that weekly updates and deliverables no longer aligns with my strategic themes.

Oh, that’s fucking brilliant! Not even the ole squint and strike, but Actually welding your own head into a trap!

I saw an oopsie last week. Tried to stop it. Dude would have none of that. Gave it the ole Okey dokey and watched him fuck up a $30k skidsteer.

There was a bolt with a stripped head. To fix this, the idea was to weld a nut to the head, thus giving new useful traction for the wrench to turn bolt. Never mind the other endless options, this dude is gonna weld some shit!

So Sparky McSparkerson sets up, fiddle fucks a nut into a poor position, then starts peeing wire out of his machine. I tell him he needs the clamp to complete the circuit. Of course he knows. But there’s no where good to connect. Everything is painted/dirty/oxidized . I ask if he’d like a grinder. No. Maybe some extra hands. Nope!

Just then, he sees it. The shiny metal of the sprocket that drives the track. So he clamps to it and manages to weld on the nut. Bolt comes out and track gets tightened.
Unfortunately, he ran the circuit through the bearings and hydrostator, causing arcing throughout the entire very well fit and precise mechanism. Two days later the bearings and stator are seized and the skid is now a paperweight that will cost about 5k to repair.

But yeah! He got that bolt! :joy:

It pisses me off that there are people out there like this:

Who walks down the street thinking ā€œToday, why don’t I shove an old lady just for the heck of it?ā€

Just another day in De Blasio’s NYC

I’ve seen too many of these videos. I never get to learn the back story or context, so it’s easy to judge them as someone who needs to be removed from the earth. You know the one thing that seems to be consistent - the offender is always non-white and the victim is usually white. Flip the script and there’d be riots and nationwide coverage.

ummm…yes? you rang?

So now, In California, our Governor has decreed that we must wear face masks whenever we are in public. does anyone remember waaaay back in March and April that the CDC told us that face masks dont serve any purpose?

Re-read the fucking order. It’s pretty much the same as it was already expected in many of the major cities. You only are asked to wear it inside at businesses, on public transportation, and in rare instances that you can’t keep your 6 ft distance outdoors.

I hate it when people just read the headline, and shriek like a chicken little bitch without reading the whole damn story,

Maybe they should re-name this section soy-nation.

Ya, Fuck Newson. Whatever he does, the wild witch of Oregon follows suit. We get hit with masks on the 24th.

To this date, I haven’t worn one yet.

If my governor becomes a p#ssy and makes us all wear masks, I’m going to buy and only wear a Bane mask.

That was my initial thought, too. Let me know if you find any. Here’s the best I’ve seen.

How so?

I thought the drummer set the timing. Are you sure you weren’t 1/16 - 1/32 ahead?

We thought it was me and the other guitarist until we recorded to a click track. Then it became pretty apparent :grimacing:

Parents that believe the world has to cater to their kids just kill me. I live in a subdivision with 100 houses and there are about 10 sets of parents that are begging the HOA to reduce our 25 MPH speed limit to 5 MPH and add speed bumps. They want their 3-7 year old kids to be able to play in the road unsupervised and do not want to teach them anything about road safety. Holy ā€œCan I speak to the managerā€ Karen.

A golf league i am apart of started the season 3 weeks ago. Its made up of 20 folks in our industry of varying ages from early 20’s to late 60s. The email that goes out every week clearly requests that if you have been exposed to someone with covid or are feeling even a little ill to please find a sub for that week so you can get tested as there are a few folks with pre-existing conditions that we don’t want to get infected.

Well, i just found out that my teammate is positive with covid. He had stayed home the past two rounds because he had a little cold and didnt want to chance it. It turns out that his roommate (who is also in the league) had his girlfriend (who he sees everyday) test postive 10 days ago. He didnt tell anyone, played golf with the league last week, and flew to Colorado this week for work despite a ā€œlittle headacheā€. Pretty fucking selfish and shitty.
