Stil too complicated. I just double and add…20-30 pounds. Gets me close enough. It usually works out close to 20%, but sounds less complicated in my head, haha.
The more you double and add 20% properly in your head, the easier it’ll get doing it. Stop be lazy.
I find it easy because, once you’ve doubled it, you already know what the 20% is: it’s the number you just got, without the 3rd digit.
200x2 is 400.
Take away the final 0 on 400 and it’s 40.
So 200kg is 440lbs.
And thank god stones aren’t popular.

Trivial difference with 100, but with weirder numbers 10% is one step less mental math than 10%

The NFL is publicizing that they aren’t blackballing kapernick and are in fact giving him a tryout this Saturday. Problem is, they only informed the teams and kap yesterday, and intentionally scheduled it on a Saturday instead of the typical Tuesday to ensure that at least half of the teams won’t make it due to road games. Teams and kap requested to reschedule for a Tuesday (the normal day for tryouts when coaches are free) but the NFL refused without citing a reason.
Say what you want about kap personally/politically, but the NFL is so blatantly screwing him here, and it really sucks.

Have you seen all the pro-police, pro-military commercials around the nfl? That’s damage control. Because over half the consumers of the NFL either don’t agree with him or don’t want politics with their escapist sports.
He wears dead cop logos and pro Castro gear to top it all off. How can you protest race based “brutality” and celebrate communist Cuba?
Finally, the NFL is an entertainment business. There’s nothing entertaining about constantly covering a devisive backup quarterback. It’s bad for business.

The reason half of fans hate him, and half don’t care either way have been hashed out here extensively.
I’m just speaking to the blatant farce that is the NFL “not blackballing kapernick”. If they’re gonna blackball him, just do it and be public about the reasoning. If the reasoning is sound, it will be supported. Pretty obvious more than a few 100% support it here haha. But this tryout is intended in every way to not give kap a fair shot while attempting to save face for the NFL. Feels so slimy.

Him being not good enough to be on a roster is objectively false. Him not being good enough to be worth all the scrutiny…is a legitimate argument.
Also, I fully understand what is meant, but it always bothers me a little when a pro athlete is described as shitty or bad. Not directed at you, just popped into my head since we are on this thread.
I get what you mean, its a pretty relative statement. Bad considering what he is expecting to be paid for what he is expected to do, I guess.
Yeah, they have tryouts all the time actually. Like constantly to replace injured or underperforming roster spots. Always on Tuesdays because that is the lightest practice day of the week so coaches can attend.
It’s why dudes who don’t make rosters stay in shape. November is when attrition hits teams hard and they need bodies. Agents are always setting up tryouts throughout the season.
