Yeah, but only for a week? I donāt know, cutting ties seems really harsh, unless theyāve done something unforgivable in that span of time.
This past week has been the icing on the cake. Itās been a slow burn for a couple of years now. A combination of ungratefulness, arrogance (especially when it comes to trying to tell others how to raise their kids when their own are both little terrors), and a few other things I donāt feel itās appropriate to air in a public forum.
@EmilyQ A phrase you are probably familiar with applies here āHurt people hurt peopleā. There is a background of trauma that is known but is not being addressed by my friends.

Friday Morning: Boss sends me my self-performance review form to fill out by Saturday evening for review on Monday.
Friday afternoon: Boss āwe are going to go after this RFP now, can you come in tomorrow to work on it with meā.
Saturday: 8am-930pm working on proposal
Sunday night: boss āIām canceling your performance review because you didnāt get me the self-performance form on timeā.
FFS dude. I worked 72 hours last week. I was sick last week and he told me to have the weekend off to get better Friday morning, because I had been on road for 3 weeks. Then Friday evening decides we need to write a proposal all day Saturday thatās due Monday afternoon. Then cancels my yearly review (thatās 3 months late) because I didnāt fill out the form in time!! He leaves for vacation tomorrow for 3 weeks. So much for a raise this yearā¦
This is all my fault for initiating the 48 hour rule.

Curious if youād extend the term colonial to those inhabiting the other 37 states that were not part of the original 13 colonies?
Since we all kind of migrated west from the original 13, it would make sense to include everybody I think (except maybe Hawaii, which we just sort of annexed cause we felt like it).
Iāve got a new set of white trash neighbors now too, trashing up my nice quiet neighborhood.
The first order of business for their day seems to be a big argument. Then the guy goes outside to yell even more in his booming voice.
This is happening like clockwork every morning at 5am. I asked him nicely to keep it down, No luck, so now Iām trying the brilliant strategy of eye-fucking him every time I see him.
What really pisses me off are the three young kids they have who are probably cowering in the closet while dad flies into a rage at 5 am.

Time to call the non-emergency number for disturbing the peace. 5 am is typically still quiet hours in most cities.

I have a neighbor like this. A school janitor that constantly yells at his wife and kid. Itās annoying as shit.
