Things That Piss You Off

People who rock up to your party 4 hours early. I never understood this. It’s usually under some pretense of helping prepare but the helping usually means talking your ear off (the best is when it’s about the other guests) and generally slowing you down.

This is the opposite of “CMU time”- NOTHING starts on time here!

No college party or meeting I attended as an undergrad started on time. It was known not to show up until at least an hour after the scheduled start time for parties.

which college? Is being late a universal thing?

Iowa State University circa 2007 to 2011. It seems pretty universal with the college age group.
Really bugged me the first couple years since I have German heritage and we like to be punctual.

Pregnant women with push chairs who think they have a right to push you out the way because they have a small kid/kids with them. I don’t care if you are a baby making machine and I am standing on public transport in a zone designated for mothers. You ask me nicely if you can have my spot otherwise fuck off. Don’t just push me out the way like the world falls at your feet.

And this one statement sums up every thing you have posted on this forum. Only a piece of shit, with no balls, would be this disrespectful. A woman shouldn’t have to ask. You should be man enough to volunteer.

You know what pisses me off. Full grown men running around with their pussy dripping!

Maybe don’t do this?

I mean, I get being pushed out the way is shitty and all, but maybe there’s more than one person at fault here?

You had me until:

Come on, man. Just move and get on with your life.

Which would save us all the trouble, time, and money needed to bring these should-be obvious courtesies into law.

What makes you think they’re doing it on purpose?

Your lucky it wasn’t my wife. She would have pushed out of the way for being an asshole and standing where you shouldn’t have been and then called you outloudly for the whole platform to see what a moron you are.

Edit: and I would be laughing my ass off.

I agree with your sentiment, but sometimes there just isn’t enough space on public transport.

My wife used to get upset when I’d plough our pram into people and give a courteous “Sorry Bud, didn’t expect you to be there”. I’d be careful who you are being a cunt towards.

Now, I know this is turning out to be a difficult task for you, I assume you don’t know where or who he is but go find your father and ask him to slap some dignity into you. Then, slap him back for doing such a pitiful job.

Lol that’s exactly why they have those areas. Mothers get priority. Sad when we need to even make these areas, even sadder that we then have to explain it.

If you read what the asshat said carefully, he doesn’t have an issue moving, he has an issue with being expected to move without his permission being sought first.

WTF! I guess I missed that

I can’t remember who it was, but years ago someone confessed to knocking someone down on the sidewalk on the way to work who didn’t give way as they passed one another. They’d passed before with the other guy holding his place and expecting others to turn sideways. The poster was sick of it, so didn’t give way when they passed. Neither did the other guy, but our TNation poster was a big, strong guy, and he put his shoulder into it, so the guy went down. Anyway, our poster felt badly about it, feeling that it had been unnecessary and a loss of composure on his part.

I’ve always since, though, sort of wondered what it would be like to be big enough and strong enough to only give way when I choose and to be able to enforce it when I don’t choose.

Victim mentality. That one is hard for me to deal with.
