super intense sex scenes. In tv and movies. Im not here to watch a porno. If i want to watch a porno it sure as hell wont be with my bro’s or my parents right next to me, all feeling the same uneasyness inside. Sex scenes are great, but i really dont need 5 minutes of actually seeing them fuck, dick shots, pussy licking. Imply it, dont disgrace it.
Lol, I get what you are saying and agree with this, but what movies are you watching with your parents that actually have dick shots and pussy licking? Sounds like a little discretion should be used for your next family movie night.

less with the parents now, more even just hanging out with the bro’s. Antichrist hahaha, that was a bit much at times, any HBO show is just a glorified softcore turning hardcore porno excuse. And i like to think that im at the age where i can watch a movie with my rents and share a mutual interest in movies other than action flicks, idk, maybe im just watching to much game of thrones, but i just remeber when a 1 min sex scene just seeing the humping but no actually pussies or dicks was considered maxed out.
Addding to this, RAPE SCENES, i do not need to watch 10 minutes of someone getting raped to get the point. Please, i think ive lost 50% of my dick size from viewing way to much rape scenes in horror movies and other intense ass dramas. Rape them, make it horrible, then next scene, please do not make me watch the same raping actions over and over, its beyond repulsive.

Damn Sex and The City has gotten intense, when did this happen

This happened to me really badly. It was like the 3rd time i’d met my wifes dad, she fell asleep on the couch and a movie was on tv. We were sat there watching it then all of a sudden kate winslet starts getting nailed doggy style in the laundry room bent over the washing machine…

I have actually seen less of that. They still use the gimmick, but the clock will stop with 3 seconds left instead of 1. The 80’s pretty much ruined that one for life.
Funny you should say that, Armageddon was on tv today. The nuke is disarmed at 3 seconds!
And why are the wires blue and red?
If i was trying to bomb something… make all the fucking wires the same damn colour! Try disarming that bitches.

Ha Ha…that"s a good point. Roger Ebert said it best: Armageddon is a 150 minute trailer. Any 30 second clip of the movie is a tv add. That pretty much sums it up.

Movies I absolutely hated but everybody else liked:
The Matrix trilogy… I cut the first one off in the middle. That “deepness” seemed so forced it was just painful.
Natural Born Killers… Just not that interested in killing.
300 - I absolutely hated this idiotic movie. I was forced to watch it at a neighbors house. He kept rattling on about how great and cool it was. To me it was fucking painful.
The fast and the Furious… I don’t shit how many camera angles you have, rice burners with giant spoilers look stupid as fucking hell.
I actually agree with you on those… except for 300. I thought it was beautifully violent. Or maybe that’s violently beautiful.
Visually it was well done. Perhaps over done… it was to ‘artsy-fartsy’. I think they just tried to hard. I think if they brought the story down to earth a little bit more, spent less time trying to make it a visual art, and cut the over enthusiastic drama of the dialog it could have been a good movie. The story is cool, I just think they did a bad job with it. That stupid gold filter was over done too.

Sounds like you may just hate movies. The original Matrix movie was the shit and was a pop culture phenom. I know very few people who actually truly hated the first one even though the sequels were all forced.
300 was also done well given that the focus was on the stylized approach to the story. This was a graphic novel held as one of the best written and drawn. The movie took that graphic novel and made it just as interesting to look at. Spray painted on abs may be ridiculous…if you could tell by looking at them.

I like movies, we just apparently disagree on what movies we like. Hence why I titled the post,“Movies I absolutely hated and everyone else liked”. I knew I was in the minority, especially with ‘The Matrix’.
But I do like movies, for instance, I loved ‘Bad Teacher’ but a lot of folks didn’t. ‘Horrible Bosses’ was another one I thoroughly enjoyed… Didn’t require a single brain cell of effort.
‘Pulp Fiction’ is still my favorite movie of all time, though.

Yeah…The Matrix was …in my opinion…over-rated. It was not deep philosophically and I don’t care if it became a pop culture phenomenon. Not liking that and the inane Fast & Furious movies for dimwits who like fast cars doesn’t make me someone who doesn’t like movies.

I have to defend 300 on that front. They were trying to emulate the visual style of the graphic novel. It worked for the most part. The story is told from the point of view of Dilios the storyteller. What we’re watching is his embellished account of the battle of Thermopylae, which is why the Persians often appear faceless or monstrous.
The hyper-realistic style is meant to show how Dilios is glorifying the bravery of his fallen comrades, both to make them legends and rouse the remaining Spartans into action.

100% agree. It was like those stories you hear from old people. It snowed everyday and they had to walk to school in it…uphill both ways. It wasn’t supposed to be literal at all.
What I’m really sick of is the needless complexity in plots these days. I watched Sherlock Homes: Game of MacGuffins last night and holy shit was that a silly movie. I recall on scene in particular SPOILER where they blew a guy up to conceal the fact that they just shot him. Why the fuck would you bother shooting someone if you were going to blow them up at the same time? And this revelation didn’t even progress the plot. All it did was illustrate the shotting prowess of the henchman. That movie was filled with crap like that. Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol was the same way.
