Good idea!

  1. I would ice it at least twice per day. Then heat before bed.

  2. Have you used a shoulder horn? I have seen this device do some pretty amazing things.

  3. I would be remiss if I did not give my usual advice here: Never barbell bench press again!

Thanks for the advice, Zeb…I’ve done some of the above, including Ibuprofen to help with any inflamation.

Not a shoe horn. A “Shoulder horn.” It’s a device that you put around your neck and then lift light dumbbells 5lbs-10lbs in a vertical fashion. It has helped, to some degree, everyone that I have seen use it.

Do a google search and check it out. It might prolong your Bench pressing for another few years…before the surgery!

Shouldn’t you just give up benching? WHy prolong doing an exercise that is hurting you, has hurt tons of people before you and will hurt tons after you?

If you don’t have the body structure to do it safely and you’re not a competitive PLifter, drop it.
