There is a new steroid scandal today where Jason Giambi, Barry Bonds, and other professional and olympic athletes are being subpoenaed to testify about BALCO and a drug called THG (tetrahydrogestrinone).
My question, what the is THG? They call it a “designer steroid” but I espn is always messing stuff up.
It’s a steroid similar in structure (and potency from what I’ve heard) to trenbolone. They call it designer because it was designed specifically to allow atheletes to pass drugs tests.
how come i cant find any info whatsoever on this drug anywhere???
They just developed a test for it since this whole bust went down. Keep an eye on the Reader Mail and News section on T-Mag for better updates (though last weeks was similar to ESPN’s reports) and more info on the drug itself.
