It won’t top some of the videos; but it still isn’t pretty to look at.
Then you got lemon party, eww![/quote]
Damn man, those are old. And pretty un-brutal, compared to some of the other things. Lemonparty, though. I’ve never trusted an old man since.
Listen: We live in a sick, fucked-up world. I wouldn’t be surprised if the same people coming on here, bitching and pointing fingers at people who’ve seen these videos are the same people who are griping about violence in movies in media. If they’re not, then they’re FUCKING HYPOCRITES.
They all perpetuate each other. Death and all of its endeavors is the most candid, personal, and private experience that a person will come across in their lifes (or end of life.) By watching bullshit big-release movies like Hostel, you’re only putting a mainstream stamp of approval on the morbidity and exploitation of death.
I will never call anyone a “pussy” for not watching these videos, because it’s about how much you can stomach. Those who unfairly come after the people who HAVE seen these vids are basically just being over-assuming and judgemental douchebags. Hell, I didn’t even see most of the videos by choice.
My dad’s pictures were put on one of those sites where the post pics of dead people in really fucked up accidents.
We found out because some guy my uncle works with actually printed it out and brought in into work, and as soon as my uncle say it he said “That’s my brother in law!” The guy couldn’t believe that my dad was still alive.
Talk about an invasion of privacy. What really bothered my father about it is that someone who works at the hospital must have put the pics up. He’s fighting for his life, and some shitbag uploads his pictures for what? WTF do people look at this shit for? Are there sickos out there who beat off to it or something? It’s just disgusting.

Right. And there is definitely a big difference between people carousing for pictures of dead/dying people, and seeing a video of someone putting a pickle jar up his ass.
I regret putting the murder video as the first one mentioned, because I really doubt most of the people responding here went on to read the rest of the original post. I’m sure they saw the phrase “murder video,” clicked on the ‘Reply’ button and said OMFG deranged sickos!

I totally agree with this. Who are any of us to say what people should be allowed to do with their own bodies, even if it is gross, lol.
I don’t care if someone wants to see these kind of videos. But it makes me angry as hell when the people that do blandly say that “these things prove that the world is, was and always will be a fucked-up world, so why bother” and use this kind of circular and self-fulfilling reasoning as an excuse for their apathic and nihilisic attitude.
@marvelgirl:I really feel bad for your father. I hope all is well with him and that the dipshit who put the pictures online gets what he/she deserves.
I’ve never thrown up because of one of those videos, but I’d be lying if I said the pickle jar guy didn’t make me cringe, or that just reading the description of the 3guys1hammer video made me pissed and disgusted.
I’m not gonna click that link, there’s no way i’d watch all of it. The emo-cutter girl though, that’s no problem. I would probably get pretty freaked out if I saw her cutting in person, but on the internet that kinda thing doesn’t bother me. Laughed at the bear one, that’s some hilariously weird people.

They don’t prove the world is a fucked up place…I don’t think anyone here is trying to be an all negative pessimist.
Video’s like these do, however, give people a insight into the things that do actually happen in the real world with brutal reality. A lot of them are stupid and pointless, but when you see photos of plastic surgeons taken out of barrels they were cemented into because of reconstructing a mob boss, suicides, real crime drama - it kind of gives you a glimpse of the dangers that lie in this world and put you(me) on alert.
Life is not an easy ride and people should learn to harden the fuck up - you don’t have to watch or accept that people do watch these things, as long as you realize that there are millions of people going through things like this and suffering, living in horrible conditions and circumstances every single day of their lives.
Some people are so sheltered from the real world nowadays it’s scary - ever been to a 3rd world country? I was born and raised in South Africa, trust me, I’ve seen some fucked up shit.
There’s an interesting line from the film 8mm w/ Nicholas Cage:
“When you dance with the devil, the devil picks the tune.”
In context, the character is referring to the morbid attraction that exists for snuff films, how you watch it, and at first you’re not turned on, but you’re not turned away.
The larger theme inherent in this statement is that every time you seek out and watch something this disturbance, a little bit of you dies.
In my experience, I have found that to be true. Hence, I do not watch these.

Again, provide examples. Non-sequitor answers don’t really prove anything.

No one here is saying that. It seems some people are quick to assume the most negative thing possible about people, which makes you a cynic.

I was born and lived a large part of my life somewhere equally if not more fucked up and seen some terrible things as well while there but if anything it made me averse to it. And I cannot help but feel resentment and anger for those that voluntarily seek out and watch those kind of snuff videos. I mean, how much more fucked up can you get?
I don’t derive any ounce of pleasure or thrill watching shit like that online, I’ve already seen enough, why would I want to see more of it? You don’t need to watch some guy getting his skull bashed in with a hammer and his eyes gouged out with screwdrivers to know the world can be a cold, hard place. Don’t delude yourself.
I did some reading about the “3 guys 1 hammer” video and found that the 3 perpetrators had in fact killed over 21 people. Even if I could watch the video, I’d choose not to because I find it absolutely disgusting and immoral. Personally I think whoever chooses to host the video online for other people to watch should be shut down and/or prosecuted. Terrible.
For anyone who is wanting to watch the video. Lets attach a face to the crimes committed by the people who video-taped the murder. Here is one of their victims. He was just a little guy, how could anyone be capable of this?

Nor was my previous post directed to anyone in person here.
It’s just a personal opinion about a certain attitude that arises with certain people in relation to these kind of videos (and I am referring here specific to the oekranian one). This is NOT a statement about people in general!
If I truely am a cynic, and believe that people in general are that negative, I am awefully out of place in my line of work. Neither do I deny that these things happen. If I did, again, I wouldn’t, shouldn’t and definitely couldn’t be doing what I do for a living.
So who is assuming what about who here, and what does that make you?
