In the scene where they first started firing on eachother, there was like 5 people with machine guns and they ALL KEPT MISSING OVER AND OVER. That shit sucked… At least make it a LITTLE realistic. I guess that’s just nitpicking but it seriously sucked…

On to a different subject…anyone else have a Derp moment when Rick and Govenor were fighting? Rick had him in full mount and gave him several solid unanswered face strikes. Then Govenor shrugs that shit off and proceeds to almost kill Rick in the dumbest rape choke eva. FFS rick just roll to your side and choke is broken. Anywho, had to vent bout that. Least it was an episode full of Rick limp wristing his revolver for 30 minutes.

Yeah Andrea was 1000% better in the comics and actually made for some very interesting plot points.
As for the fight how about the fact that the Gov just got shot in his arm/shoulder region but was somehow able to lift it up and use it to bash Rick’s face in. I know the Gov is bad ass but come on.

You got to remember in a Zombie show everybody is a Seal Team 6 marksman with headshots from a handgun from over 100 yards away on a a moving target while the shooter is moving (super run on sentence. But, when it comes to humans you’d be better off bringing the blind brigade.

That epsidoe was pretty true to the comics which was nice for a change. Too bad Limp Wristed Rick and Smells Like Tween Spirit Carl can’t act for shit. I hope the rest of the season goes well, but I’m not holding my breath. They’ve got a lot of comic book deviations to deal with especially with those two sisters that supposedly left Judith during the prison fight. I just don’t see how it doesn’t end up as a shit sandwich.
It’ll be interesting to see how the coming episodes/seasons are handled since Andrea (Group’s Sniper) isn’t around to carry the team through a lot of tough encounters.

There were a few things I enjoyed (carl finally calling rick out, getting knocked down by the door) but overall I was just was not amused with the episode. I feel like it did not add much to story (with the exception of doing a half assed job at finally telling you who Michonne’s zombies originally were).
Its the same shit over and over. Carl and Rick butt heads but realize they are pussies with out each other. Michonne pulls some crazy shit and kills a ton of zombies which in my eyes has finally lost its novelty.

Also I can’t bust down a door either… umm thats all I have to say about that.
Ohh and the gov is dead. Hole in the head is pretty hard to write around and a sword center mass as well. I think he is dead.
I hope they hook up with the others soon.

Well, we used a big cement-filled pipe with handles and 2 big guys, generally combined with shooting the lock with a shotgun . . . . and about half the time the frame would cave in before the door pops open.
Huge pet peeve of mine. Glad they were a bit realistic.
As an aside, a metal screen door that opens out and locks really puts a damper on someone breaking down your door. Still can be done, but it becomes a 60 second operation instead of a 10 second operation.

I just watch Seagal doing his cop show. I think he needs to go back to being an actor cause he doesn’t do law enforcement well standing back and letting others do all the work, while he makes silly comments.

I liked the episode as well. Michonne may finally have more than 2-3 lines per episode. I also think the kid playing Carl has really come along as an actor IMO.
I also saw David Morrissey was listed in the credits. I didn’t check to see if the actor who played Herschel was as well, but I was thinking they have to credit the actor if they use their likeness down the road, so they had to credit them for their dead bodies. There may also be flashback later. Good old Gov looked dead with that bullet hole in his head though.
Edit - just checked and Scott Wilson (Herschel) was credited as well, even though they showed on the Talking Dead the head was just an animatronic casting.
I enjoyed the episode for the most part. I was glad Rick and Carl came together in the end and I think Carl may have realized surviving on his own his not as easy as he thinks it would be. I’m also willing the bet that we don’t see Rick, Carl and Michone for couple more episodes as the show is just going to have episodes on all the other characters taking up the rest of the season and then the finale will be them all getting back together.
I liked it for the most part but it still bothers me that Carl seemed to have regressed in terms of his zombie smarts. The whole walking backwards into a zombie thing just seems like something that he should know better than to do at this point in the game. Same with the yelling at the top of your lungs. I guess you could contribute it to his “acting out” but it still seemed a little too juvenile.
Additionally- didn’t see Judith in the preview for next week with Tyreese and the girls. I’m still assuming she is with them tho
