I think this comes down to personality. As long as you get a tattoo in a place where it can be easily covered up, it really isn’t that big of a deal. I got mine when I thought benching 400 pounds was the most bro thing a person could do. Would I do it differently now? Yep. Do I give it a second of thought? Nope. Do I regret it? Not in the slightest. Stuff like this doesn’t bother me. So my advice is to get it in a spot where it’s able to be covered up, and if you’re like me you won’t regret anything.

I’m currently looking into getting my third tattoo. This time it’s going to be a forearm tattoo. DJ, thanks for the advice but I’m going for it lol. Been asking people at work with ink where they went, who did it, etc. I work at a big hospital which is great cause alot of folks have them now.
Two things I have learned so far:
#1. Everybody loves to talk about their tattoo(s)
#2. Everybody loves to talk about thier NEXT tattoo lol.
My sister’s tattoo artist was telling her a short while ago that he regrets getting his hands and neck done. Major pain in the ass at airport security and tells customers it ain’t worth the trouble it causes.
justify getting a back peice now. My kitchen need a reno and my roof needs new shingles ![]()

not only that just try getting a really good job looking like a circus freak. I work in a large personnel department and there is a running joke about not hiring people who are loaded with tattoo’s. Some on this thread may not like it but in the real world having all that on your arms or face will absolutely prevent you from getting certain jobs.
so think before you mark your body up guys.
you may think it’s cool but a future employer might look at you as being an idiot and you won’t get the job you want.

This is very true nobody can see my ink at work.

Same here, the pieces I have are all gifts to myself, that represent something about myself. Nobody else needs to see it.
^But that’s just it, I never see them. I fucking love the one on my back but I never see it unless there’s a mirror around.
That’s why I’m leaning toward a forarm tattoo. Having a shitty day?, just glance down at some cool artwork on your skin and feel better. I glance at the one on my upper arm and go, fuck that’s faded lol. I could get it covered over but I have no intrest in doing that, not sure why just don’t.
I have a day of the dead skull on the top of my left bicep, all psychadelic colours. I’m planning on getting a fat buddha sitting on lotus flower drifitng down some water for my next one just cause fat buddha makes me smile.
Eventually I want a full sleeve on my left arm made up of a collection of random tattoos I collect over the years
On the topic of waiting till your a bit older, that is some good advice for some people, but bad advice for others (people like me)
If I think about something I’ll think too much and never do anything. I always do this: Romance, college work, work-work, excericse. This can be good and bad in certain situations but shitty in most. In the end I just saw a picture I liked and on a gut feeling I decided I’m gonna get this. If I end up regretting it later in my life at least when I’m old I can look back and laugh at it.
There is an exception. Don’t get face tattoos. EVER. That I can imagine regretting.

This, just like skinny jeans, thick frame glasses, and flat brims. Except you cant change out your skin when it’s no longer “cool” to be tat’d up.
Just my opinion, i know some will disagree.
Why put a bumper sticker on a Ferrari? ![]()
