Lol @ link. But I don’t see Souljah Boy being responsible for the next 2 Pac anytime soon. And I can understand what Shock G is saying.
jtg987 wrote:
alot of people rag on soulja boy but honestly what the fuck do you want a 16 year old to be rapping about? He knows he isnt gangsta, its obvious by his frame he aint going to be knocking heads off, he isnt really old enough to probably grasp what is really going on in the world…so whatdo you expect from a 16 yr old?

also doesnt anyone else find it amazing that a 16 year old was able to make it to number 1, through myspace? honestly I respect what he’s done and watching drunk girls try do the dance in heels is probably the highlight of my week
ROFL @ drunk chicks in heels.

I want the 16 year old to wait till he’s a bit older and has some life experience to rap about. Props for getting to number 1, but his songs are mindless drivel. But hey, whatever the young kids are into these days. I suppose being as old as I am (21) I don’t appreciate this new “music”.

To the “older” generation, this is more like real rapping.

ok, first, tupac is overrated as shit.

second, its not about who brings who into what, its about who brings what into the genre. soulja boy made a hit, why hate on him that shit was catchy as fuck and people had fun when it came on, so really why hate on that?

im 20 years old, not far off from 21 and i like Lupe and Soulja boy. Lupe is like the poster boy for the new type of hip-hop out right now - a nerdy dude who makes similies about high end fashion, video games, and skateboarding and anything else in the world, hes a straight genius.

basically i wanna have fun, im 20 years old i dont need to be listening to some 1995 inspired emcee rapping about the woes of the world, leave that to the emos.

straight up you ARE a young kid.

You don’t need to listen to the woes of the world because you’re a privileged kid living in the suburbs.

Word.

And 2Pac is NOT overrated. Have you heard his music? The Don Killuminati? All Eyez on Me?

It’s all about having a mix of songs. 2Pac had the fun songs and the serious songs.

MOST OVERRATED RAPPER EVER, PERIOD.

Im in the same boat as 781, i listen to shit like lupe, atcq, kool g rap, atmosphere, common and talib but when im in a club i dont want to be sitting there listening about how the government is trying too control the population, or about how people are killing people for diamonds, I want something thats going to put me in a good mood, i dont want to be sitting there trying to figure out some metaphore about cell miosis in a tree frog from africa

pretty much i want music in a club that going to get girls dancing shaking there ass and making me feel good

i laugh at people who want to go to a club that plays canibus…it would be filled with 33 year old virgins talking about world of warcraft/dungeon and dragon types

btw my top 5 artists are: common, talib kweli, jadakiss, jay-z, ice cube

Jadakiss on your top 5??? he is the fattest ugliest rapper ever and he looks like a turtle. He cant rhyme or nothin and for fuckin sure he was never able to make a hit song. I dont even know why Cash Money Records is tryin to sign him

he signed to roc-a-fella earlier this year and are you sure were both talking about J-A-D-A?..doesnt bother me if he’s never had a number one single, he still spits the heat and managed to hold his own with big and pun…hell have you even heard checkmate? he destroyed 50

i would have gone with beanie sigel, gza or ghostface if i could have added 3 more

in melbourne theres really only one decent rnb club on a saturday night but its not that popular…i’d rather go to an alternative club instead of house or rnb club on saturday night it seems like people are less wankerish at these places.

Lol @ Jadakiss. Shit I wouldn’t listen to 2Pac or Common in a club man, I just lol @ people who listen to exclusively club music on their iPods.

anyway, for jeans or “denim” i just get whatevers clever. i think Artful Dodger makes some crazy stuff but i just cant afford it…like 150-200 for a pair, cant do that. im in the like $50 range so i gotta wait til something that was like 80-100 goes on sale. =/
If you’re going out and buying $50 jeans because you feel like getting a new pair of jeans, but you don’t have heat in your house, you suck at prioritizing.

If you’re as hard up as you imply, you should probably be worrying about buying clothes for a job interview, and not to look good. Paying the heating bill would also be a reasonable alternative.

fuck heat when you could have 6 more tee shirts that month… kid’s got blankets man.

It’s been said that where you live is how other people see you, and what you drive is how you see yourself. So I wonder what the swaggering suburban white boy drives.
