The Supreme Court Fight is On. The Divide Worsens

Here comes the 6th and 7th accusations. And FBI investigations demanded for each of those.

Is the FBI investigation just for Ford, or does it include the other 2 accusers (as of now)?

‘Any credible accusations’

I wouldn’t call flake spineless. He isn’t caving to political pressure… Cause he has no political future. Seems like a big middle finger to the Trump admin more than anything?

Probably just for Ford. Then, once that is concluded, Hirono, Booker, and Alyssa Milano will demand an investigation for the next one. Or, republicans support rape or soemthing.

All for it to still be a party line vote if we ever reach an end to the accusations and investigations.

I was with you the whole time but you nailed it.

Flake has a future with high paying positions in a number of places. He’s a worm.

His retirement can’t happen fast enough.

Jeff Flake has an 18% approval rate because the Arizonans despise his prevarication.

He should just cross the aisle and save us all the problem.

Still, they have positioned him right at the precipice of confirmation. One week of investigation they’ll have disarmed the FBI stuff, giving these senators cover. Immediate vote on the floor and done.In the process they a nominee who went through all those previous backgrounds, the regular committee process, the additional hearing, and now an additional FBI investigation.

Mark Judge and his ex-GF tho…

She could have could told the Dems.already.if she had anything.

If the FBI investigation turns up nothing, will you accept him as fit for the seat?

FBI questioning has a way of clarifying one’s memories.

As there is no doubt in my mind the FBI will turn up something–as in, at the least, they will confirm the facts we already know–this is a difficult question to answer.

Worth remembering Kavanaugh is not on trial–he’s interviewing for a job. And as he has lied to my face (through the TV), I for one do not find him suitable for that job.

What facts as we already know? There’s an accuser with no evidence or witnesses?

Which/what lies?

Would you have ever found him suitable had this accusation never come up? Check back later.

Dude, her testimony is evidence–evidence that I (and probably you) judged to be credible.

He has lied about his drinking history, his social history, and his association with Ford.

Yes. In fact, I had already resigned myself to his joining the court.

We heard very different things.

Ok, thank you much. Was curious.

While in college, I was so drunk that I got lured (“hey man, there’s a party on the third floor, chicks and booze, come on right up”) into a supposed “party” in an apartment where only five or six dudes were present. When I entered, one bolted the door behind me and the second one grabbed my arm me so I immediately broke grip and one twoed him in the face (left jab to gauge the distance, then a straight right) and then dropped the second one with a haymaker. Not a superhuman feat as all those dudes were pudgy and looked like they never did anything even resembling physical activity. I unbolted the door and ran out after kicking the third dude in the shin.

I ran to my dorm high with an adrenaline rush laughing hysterically all the way. After sobering up the next morning I turned on the TV and saw that during the night a group of trainee priests from a nearby catholic seminary were beaten up in an unprovoked attack after returning late from a pilgrimage trip.

They never did find the culprit. And the guy who grabbed my arm and whom I one twoed in the face? Well, whenever I see a news article about a papal vist (both Francis and Benedict XVI) somewhere, I usually see his fat face in the background.

Beat that.

Oh yes, and #MeToo?
