The Supreme Court Fight is On. The Divide Worsens

The * was intended as a lighthearted aside. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

As far as how far I am willing to go, I would ask how far should we allow religion as an excuse to go.

In the case of an unwed mother, that is a choice. As far as homosexuals, technically it is not a sin and there are gay priests so if a homosexual is fired for simply being a homosexual the school is not following Catholic teachings.

There are no laws in place to regulate how people do business with one another?

Openly practicing homosexual.

Slavery was legal before the Constitution was written. The point is that it is dangerous to look to the government as a source of morality.

He is having sex in front of students?

If he is a practicing homosexual, and people know it, then its not private.

Is it, fhough? Why does it sometimes seem like homosexuality is the only lifestyle predisposition… But even so. Does she not need the income? Perhaps even more than the homosexual male wanting to marry his life partner while working for a Catholic High School? Are her feelings no less hurt? Where is this rule written in the stars that a orientation even trumps choices?

That is the only way to be openly homosexual?

Ok, then don’t use the government to settle the issue between the baker and the couple.

They all require judicial balance with people’s property rights to run their business how they want to.

Wouldn’t not be shocked if many of the conservatives who outright idolize the market, don’t find themselves largely frozen out of it.

I am not misrepresting it as something it’s not. I’m a Deadhead. And that symbol represents something I am into.

It was a joke.

My bad. I blame the PCS for this one.

Is ‘PCS’ how you abbreviate Obama’s Muslim name, or his Kenyan name?

(That was a joke too)

There’s a difference?

This has been an amazing discussion…but @mertdawg reminded me of something that I think needs to be added to the discussion…

Does this Right of Association extend to the Government Employees hired to do a Publicly Funded Job like those that sign and issue marriage licenses? (I think you all remember the Thrice Divorced Kim Davis controversy, whose “religious selectivity” kind of rubbed me the wrong way. By the way; she is running for the same position in 2018 as a Republican; and is projected to win.

By NO means was this question settled by her grand-standing.

And like many Self-Proclaimed Martyrs…She is prepared to go to Jail again… (her words).

Even though many wish she would just go away…this is something that really needs to be answered.
