Holy shit, this was headline worthy. Apparently this wasn’t a commercial for Hotels. Com featuring captain obvious. SMH.
And this ladies and gentlemen is one of the innumerable reasons I consider any sort of poll the junk food of science.
There’s so much wrong with them putting that out there it’s almost incomprehensible. I mean, on every level possible.
Trump continues attacks on Georgia’s AG Brad Raffensperger. Trump, playing 4D chess as usual has “figured out” that Raffensperger’s brother “works for China”. The only problem is that Brad Raffensperger doesn’t have a brother.
Although this is appropriate for the stupid thread, the fact is that many Trump supporters will never learn the truth. They’ll read the tweet and assume Trump is correct.
Is “truth” ever the Goal with Trump?
Oh, they’re so much worse than that. They’re paid for opinion influencing, designed to reach whatever answer the pollster wants (with few exceptions, none of which are American).
The same is true of referendums, there was almost a year long political battle to decide the question on Brexit, because everyone knew that the question could easily decide the answer.
More from Bizarro World…
@Aragorn @Legalsteel @loppar
LOL clientele looks like a metal bar I worked on weekends in late 80s.
Happy New Year.
Boy ain’t that the truth! Farming out influence.
Referendums are something that I think is great in theory and almost always butchered in reality.
Hah! That looks like something from Guitar Hero or GTA. Good music in the 80s, but the fashion… Oh hell no haha.
May your new year be a helluva lot better than this one was!
This is off an a different rail, but just how can one not shake one’s head and wonder why this has to happen. The pharmacist you would think makes a career out of healing, and this is as absolute rock bottom of a time to be protesting something as can be found, if that is what it turns out to be.
And you, mate!
One of the reasons I have zero respect for MSM … they’re all gross peddlers of propaganda
So, basically everything any politician gets their grubby, impish hands on … got it
That’s about right.
They’ve got serious issues, but I wouldn’t place them in the same boat as Infowars or anything. You can still generally get a clear view of actual facts from them.
Ted Cruz you can suck a big fat one. Spineless fuckin cowards, every one of you.
An earlier statement by Sen. Sasse: “Let’s be clear what is happening here: We have a bunch of ambitious politicians who think there’s a quick way to tap into the president’s populist base without doing any real, long-term damage. But they’re wrong — and this issue is bigger than anyone’s personal ambitions…Adults don’t point a loaded gun at the heart of legitimate self-government”
Do you reckon there will be electoral reforms within the next 4 (or so) years to prevent something like this happening again? @Aragorn
I’m not sure that’s the right way to refer to a minority standing up to do something. They’re a minority of the Senate as a whole, as well as of their Party’s Senators.
Here’s how often politicians really stood up to Trump(Spoiler: Sasse and others did so less often than folks about whom “Der…What’s gotten into that guy?” has been asked on this board.): Tracking Congress In The Age Of Trump | FiveThirtyEight
