The Stupid Thread 2 (Part 1)

The double standard is that she isn’t on CNN. There are many black people who are pro police. Who don’t like BLM. Who think taking down statues is wrong. But they don’t get the air time that the conformists get.

I’ll agree with that. What I meant was that as far as the “mass” reaction–whether or not it’s justifiable–theres a clear double standard, where a white guy (or woman) writing about even someone as revered as Washington would be shouted down, and possibly fired.

If she were someone famous tweeting that, she would have been called an Uncle Tom, coon, race traitor, etc. We have seen the backlash blacks who have criticized BLM or bring up black on black violence have gotten.

CNN will bring on Terry Crews to try and ambush him but will they have this woman on? Don Lemon will bring on Sheriff David Clarke because his demeanor and the way he dresses makes him hard to take seriously but will he bring on Thomas Sowell?

Did any BLM protest mention this guy? This was recently filmed in Mauritania where slavery is widely accepted despite a nominal ban introduced in … wait for it… 1980ies.

Where “White moors” are keeping the darker skinned Africans in hereditary bondage - I wonder why no one is upset over this?

You won’t see a BLM response to that because they can’t exploit their white supremacy narrative by doing so. Slavery today in some form is a bigger issue now in terms of sheer numbers than the trans Atlantic slave trade ever was: One in 200 people is a slave. Why? | Global development | The Guardian

The problem with all the examples from the above article is that as with your example, it isn’t white people doing the oppressing so there’s no viable message for BLM.

She might want to ask what judges and lawyers think about not having armed bailiffs. At the risk of sounding sexist, but I really think there is a disconnect from reality when it comes to women, particularly middle class and above, and their perceptions of violence, crime and the dark side of humanity.

I don’t disagree with that. I cannot comprehend how the mind of someone who thinks this way must work. It’s as if every thought is formulated and considered based solely on how it makes the person feel without any input using logic and reason.

Perhaps this is why the country is where it is right now. If so, we really need to go back to teaching classic Western philosophy.

Several years ago, I went to visit a family member in NYC, Manhattan to be specific. We were hungry so she said let’s go out and get something to eat. It was around midnight and I asked if she was crazy. It’s NYC after all. She laughed and said it was safe, and it was. I was wrong about NYC.

At another time I went with someone to the Bronx. I couldn’t get the hell out of there fast enough. And this was during the day. I remember leaving there at night and almost running someone over I was so focused on getting out.

I see you are a Hwhyte Superior-masochist

The civil unrest and tensions in Portland, Oregon, boiled over again Thursday night as federal agents sprayed tear gas into a crowd that included Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler.

“I want to thank the thousands of you who have come out to oppose the Trump administration’s occupation of this city,” Wheeler told people gathered downtown near the federal courthouse, according to the Associated Press. “The reason this is important is it is not just happening in Portland … we’re on the front line here in Portland.”

This comment is not about Trump, but, the supreme leader of Portland, so for once, leave Trump out of it. I have read some stupid shit over the past two months, but “thanking” a crowd of violent protesters for coming out a creating a riot is about as stupid as you get. Agree with it or not, agents have been injured trying to do their job in Portland. That is domestic terrorism, not “peaceful protests”.

At around 12:30 a.m. local time, the Portland Police Department declared the protest a riot and asked people to leave.

“A riot has been declared outside the Justice Center. Disperse to the north and/or west. Disperse immediately,” the department tweeted. “Failure to adhere to this order may subject you to arrest or citation, or riot control agents, including, but not limited to, tear gas and/or impact weapons.”

Thousands still are still in the area after the riot was declared and ABC News heard at least seven use-of-force warnings.

Before the riot was declared, Portland police said “multiple flares and other incendiaries” were thrown over the fence surrounding the courthouse, which resulted in fires.

Well, damn, these peaceful protesters are so brave and committed. So easy to attack a stationary position with static security. Each one of you brave souls knowing that the last thing any agent is going to do, is just shoot you.

Portland’s City Council passed new policies on Wednesday that immediately bans all police bureau members from working with federal law enforcement and prevents them from intentionally arresting or using force on journalists and legal observers.

For those who don’t know, almost every major police department has a unit or division dedicated to intelligence gathering. They try to monitor extremist groups both foreign and domestic, drug cartels, gang activity, any thing that might prevent an attack on their city, or, on the country. This has especially been developed and refined since 9-11.

Now, the city of Portland , in its profound wisdom, has banned the police from working with the feds. Where do you think most of that information comes from? locals? no, the feds. So, since the council has denied its own protective force from talking to the filthy feds, what will the city do now?

This is nothing but PC bullshit to appease the domestic terrorists in Portland. As far as I know, the coward Governor of Oregon has not issued a similar order to the state police, so, (hopefully) communication lines are still open. Perhaps, critical intelligence will still get to the right people, maybe. If it doesn’t the supreme mayor can always blame the feds.

“intentionally arresting or using force on journalists and legal observers”.

So, a journalist can commit felonies in the presence Portland Police with total impunity?

What the fuck is a legal observer? Lawyers? politicians? school board members?, hey, technically, cops are legal observers, so can they kick the shit out of the domestic terrorists and not be arrested? What fucking stupid shit.

Yeah, I just posted video clips in the George Floyd thread of them breaking down the fences and stoking fires.

Last I checked, the Trump administration was the legally elected government of the US, of which I think Portland is still a part. Pretty sure he needs to relearn the concept of an occupation.

bans all police bureau members from working with federal law enforcement

Does this mean that local police can work with federal depts not technically considered law enforcement? they could still work with NSA right? It sounds like there might be wiggle room in there for intelligence related coordination even with FBI/DHS?. The City just doesnt want PDX police working together with DHS to use force against the rioters, hopefully there are no unintended consequences.

It is important that legal observers and journalists are not intentionally harmed or arrested. IDK why that is at all controversial. Legal observers have to take a training course and get certified by the National Lawyers Guild (which is the hippy version of the American Bar Association). Legal observers and journalists should not act as part of the demonstration, they are there to record and observe events to ensure that a record of any civil rights infringements are recorded. If they do act as part of the demonstration they lose their protective status. Again, the key word is intentionally.

A guy i was playing golf with last night commented on the PDX situation by saying “you don’t get rid of your fly problem by bringing in more turds”. And i would tend to agree- the increased federal presence, along with the hyping up of this situation by the president will just attract more antifa folks. From the earlier race riots accross the country we know that the dbags causing most of the destruction were not locals, but were folks who had traveled there to cause problems. I wouldn’t be surprised if this blows up in a big way over the weekend. Shame too, because, while bad, the near nightly riot was small and pretty well contained until this week when DHS came in hot. But, maybe that is the 4D chess move- attract as many flies as you can and then wipe them out all at once (civil rights, and states rights, and precedent be damned).

There is a federal courthouse under siege every night. The men defending it are not turds. There are children being shot and killed, funerals being shot up, young men murdered in autonomous zones, counter-protestors beaten, people doxed and threatened, bodies discovered in burned out wreckage…

A disgrace.

Is an analogy being made between bug spray and tear gas?

Haha, lots of deet in the spray. Batons are fly swatters. Riot shields are fly paper.

Being a fed, I can tell you from my experience, the NSA does not work with locals, hell, they rarely ever share anything with the FBI. They work more with the CIA and DIA. A lot of their information is funneled straight to the National Security Advisor, who will then make the call on distribution. They banned PPB from from working with federal agencies, not just the DHS. Most people don’t realize DHS has a very active intelligence division, focusing on our borders. They monitor drug smuggling, human and arms trafficking, and have a special unit whose only job is trying to locate and identify terrorists trying to enter the country. There is an old saying that sums this up " don’t cut your own throat".

So, you are blaming DHS for 55+ days of rioting? Just not clear on your meaning here.

Playing devils advocate a little here, but aren’t both borders closed right now? so intelligence that DHS might provide normally wouldnt be there right now? Or as much? Hopefully this helps offset the lack of communication.

No, im blaming the few dozen antifa idiots for the 55+ days of rioting.

But, if this explodes (which i fear it might) the cause of that explosion (hopefully not a pun) would be the federal response. Just based on the info we have from the riots a few months ago where many/most of the rioters were not locals in the places they trashed, i fear that trump and media hyping up the federal response in portland will draw a much, much larger and more aggressive crowd. God forbid is some asshole in the crowd brings a gun and fires on the cops all hell could break loose and we could have a massacre on our hands.

What i am saying is that while the rioting in PDX was not good, it was fairly small and it was contained. I fear that a large, very public federal response, along with trump hyping up that federal response will result in firing up the antifa contigent and the situation exploding. Its like Bill Belicheck says- there is no reason to give your opponent bulletin board material.
