The Stupid Thread 2 (Part 1)

In more ways than one. From a 2016 article:

The Slovenian news media brings the latest word of the Trump campaign, especially details from a recent article in GQ that revealed Viktor that Knavs had, before his marriage to Melania’s mother, fathered a child out of wedlock and then fought attempts to claim child support all the way to the country’s highest court, where he lost. The GQ reporter then began receiving anti-Semitic messages.

I’ve seen negative ads for O’Rourke and Harris already as well. Not totally sure about the rest.

And the Dems are yet to cast a single vote.

I couldn’t disagree more. They absolutely refuse to dedicate more time attacking her policies than they do creating memes and mocking her outfits.

They’re doing to her what the Dems did to Trump. Imo they’re meme’ing her into one day being POTUS, through sheer incompetency.

Well you could always back up what you’re thinking with something

Or explain why you think the very tactics that put Trump in the Whitehouse are suddenly supposed to work on AoC

Because Trump is Trump…and AOC is AOC.

Because Trump followers are not AOC followers.

The Country is in a surreal place that is almost impossible to explain.

“MAGA” for 4 more years…

Ah. So that’s it lol.

I sure would like if the GOP would stop playing with it’s warthog. Seems to be a large waste of time and money if it’s actually that easy

Blast from stupidity past. I had actually forgot about this until I was discussing nuclear energy with my brother in law yesterday.

Trump clearly and easily explains things;

“Look, having nuclear — my uncle was a great professor and scientist and engineer, Dr. John Trump at MIT; good genes, very good genes, OK, very smart, the Wharton School of Finance, very good, very smart — you know, if you’re a conservative Republican, if I were a liberal, if, like, OK, if I ran as a liberal Democrat, they would say I’m one of the smartest people anywhere in the world — it’s true! — but when you’re a conservative Republican they try — oh, do they do a number — that’s why I always start off: Went to Wharton, was a good student, went there, went there, did this, built a fortune — you know I have to give my like credentials all the time, because we’re a little disadvantaged — but you look at the nuclear deal, the thing that really bothers me — it would have been so easy, and it’s not as important as these lives are — nuclear is powerful; my uncle explained that to me many, many years ago, the power and that was 35 years ago; he would explain the power of what’s going to happen and he was right, who would have thought? — but when you look at what’s going on with the four prisoners — now it used to be three, now it’s four — but when it was three and even now, I would have said it’s all in the messenger; fellas, and it is fellas because, you know, they don’t, they haven’t figured that the women are smarter right now than the men, so, you know, it’s gonna take them about another 150 years — but the Persians are great negotiators, the Iranians are great negotiators, so, and they, they just killed, they just killed us.”

Trump and his friends sure do like talking crap on dead people. Speak ill of the dead is what my parents always told me. You don’t have to worry about them making any comebacks.

Just another family values compassionate conservative GOP supporter.

This says it all (from the end of the article H posted):

“With this president, his friends, and his administration; we’ve sadly learned that there is no bottom”.

Imagine being such an environmentalist wacko that you care about how people consume their music.

As a great fictional character once said, " the inches are all around us".

Small changes add up. Looking for and fixing small ineffencies on a large scale has large effects.

They didn’t account for tiny personal data storage systems vs. tube and transistor stacks.

I eagerly anticipate the new Apple products encased in real apple wood instead of evil fossil fuel based plastics and metals.

One of those studies that makes one go “Ummmmmm…”

I don’t know the answer; but it would be good to know how one weighs the increase in greenhouses gases; is it significant; and how does that balance against the decease in DVD plastic and wrap; vinyl waste; album cover waste; the electronic waste of DVD players, stereos, boom boxes, amplifiers, receivers, speakers; turntables…the list goes on and on.

Maybe they would argue that they were just looking at greenhouse gases…but therein lies the problem with “studies” like this. What is implied goes much furthur than the study.

Current crop in Congress is really setting the bar low.

I’m not sure if the bar can really lower from the level the sitting congressmen at the time put it at.
