Well, people are still reluctant to come out and admit they voted (and will vote again) for Hofer. I have relatives in Carinthia and they still deny it, although 2nd round results showed him getting over 80% in their constituency…
That’s my point - Trumps is the Republican candidate, therefore he is mainstream, no matter what the media says. You don’t get the social opprobrium by saying you are voting Republican in Red States…
If he was running on a third party ticket, then things would be different.
I may be ignorant of the intricacies of US elections, but I have a feeling that virtually any other Republican with a pulse except Trump would have won the election handily - Romney, Rubio, Kasich…
Hillary is a horrible candidate from a PR standpoint - her team had to wheel out PR “crutches”, people with political influence campaigning on her behalf - sitting President, former President, First Lady… It’s like saying “we know we have a weak candidate with no charisma, so look at these guys and trust all it will be more of the same”
Well, this election night we shall not bother with beer even though I just learned that the worlds strongst beer has 60% !!! of alcohol.
In case I should not get a hold of it until the election night, I think one or two fingers of gin will cover you whereas the rest of the bottle will have to suffice for me.
As to the fall of Rome thing:
If you look at the reforms of Diocletion and the ever increasing bureaucracy the final liberation (ya, really !!) was not a cause for terror but relief.
I take election day off every year (even for the off year local elections). I am a red spec in a blue district. Basically I get hammered and curse at the TV the entire day. My wife loves it …
I will check out the video, Orion. I sometimes pay attention to things that are longer than 5 minutes.
I know I’m probably being a little dramatic. There’s a thing going around social media about all the wrong doing and dirty deeds other presidents have done. Somehow, it doesn’t make me feel any better.
A - This is a low res, low frame rate video. I would be very, very weary of drawing any conclusions from it. Having said that…
B - Looks like he touched her knee for a second. That could interpreted many ways… I think “groping” goes a bit far. It could have been a pat on the knee because of a joke or a laugh, or it could have been a reach for her vagina… see point A. Knowing Bill its probably more from column B, but still, the video is utter shit.
So far I think plastic bags at the grocery store will be illegal, adult film stars will be wearing condoms, and we’re going to have legalized Weed. I’m a little worried about how we’re supposed to bring our pot home from the store if plastic bags are illegal? We’re supposed to keep the plastic on the adult film actors, but not on our groceries? It’s all very confusing.
When two people get married their lives become tethered. Hillary’s marriage to Bill is a reflection of her judgement, what she considers acceptable behavior and the authenticity of her plight to helping sexual assault victims be heard. She also stated Bill will be in charge of the economy so he is an extension of her politically as well and thus fair game
He isn’t bragging about sexual assault, he’s bragging about how many women go out their way to be sexually available to rich, powerful, famous men. That plenty of women do not put up any obstacles for sexual access to them because of his status as they would to average men.
If you need evidence flip on any concert of a male performer and pay attention to women in the crowd. A bunch of women are flashing him and the rest of them have an expression on their face as though they’re experiencing an earth shattering orgasm.
Wow, raj…was THAT ever a stretch for blaming a spouse for the other spouses behavior. It even sounded “Liberal Touchy-Feely”.
The reality is that women (husbands betraying wives is what I have the most direct knowledge of) become extremely hurt and conflicted with a husband’s betrayal.
Now…consider the fact that your Goal was to spend your Life building a business, brand and reputation together (in this case “Clinton,Inc.”)…and your husband risk it all because he thinks with is Dick.
Spouses will either 1) stand by their spouses, as best as they can 2) or throw them out.
One thing that I know they will often do is try to protect their business and their family with everything they have.
Love her or hate her…Right or wrong…that’s what Hillary Clinton did.
Grabbing a woman by the genitals without her consent, because you’ve assumed they’d give consent due to your celebrity status is sexual assault as far as I and enough of the electorate see it.
Forget the Mexican rapist hysteria…It’s wealthy white celebrity-businessmen you gotta watch out for. Real grabby people, they are.
Because I must be a female, and an ugly one at that, in order to think a man grabbing a woman’s genitals without consent is assault? I think a lot of husbands and fathers would disagree.
Yeah, I see the smiley face. But it sure seems tacked on.
