I haven’t seen the movie, but I did pick up the novel “The Ruins” the other day out of curiosity. I didn’t know too much about the book other than it was another ‘vacation-gone-awry’ type of scenario. I’m just curious if anyone else here has read it. I find it difficult to get sucked in to certain stories, but I’ve got to admit that this book is the definition of despair in the form of a novel.
I can’t recommend it enough, and I’m sure it’d be cheap wherever you buy it, my copy cost me 6 bucks. Like one review said, though, plan on dedicating about eight [awesome] hours to the book, which you probably won’t be able to put down.
