The Really Heavy Method

That’s a long way of saying I’m going to bench 3000 lbs, squat 5000 lbs, and deadlift two moons

imagine deadlifting the weight of two moons in an ultra wide sumo stance … wonder if people would complain about the bar whip still

Feels great, definitely got lucky with her.

I thought finding a woman with the same traditional core values and beliefs I had would be impossible but it wasn’t. We’ve gone a long way since meeting in Colorado that’s for sure

Paused Bench Press - Close Grip Larsen Spoto

Rep PR on the Seated OHP. 200x11 was probably there today but I’m playing it smart and slow. Going to be limiting myself to 195 for 2-3 weeks while I build up more reps.

Beltless Andrew Hause Style Barbell Row

425 x 9 , very iffy 10

Yeah… So that happened. Went in again way later (about 10 hours later). I had the day off so I pretty much had gone to the buffet after my morning session, stuffed my face in, and then went to take a long ass nap once I got home. Woke up, ate some more, and hit the gym haha.

I’ll probably be up all night but the PR was worth it.

Edit
Another rant now that I’m home and not driving…

Ever since coming back to this gym, I had 4 people who remember me who said that I’ve gotten way bigger, especially in the tricep, shoulder and chest region. One of the guys commented on it tonight and ended up squatting heavy with me, it was originally supposed to be a light BBing session for him but he got motivated seeing me walk in lol. He was a big motivator for me as well.

It makes me a bit more reassured to know that others are seeing that progress that I don’t see in myself. Gets me thinking and makes me feel a bit better.

I’m still trying to learn how to explain and communicate training advice properly when I’m asked about it, I got a few questions thrown at me. I can tell when people start getting confused because I tend to talk really fast and add things that make sense to me but makes no sense to them which is my fault.

I went off on a big ass tangent here lol

Seated OHP - Close Grip
135 x 3
165 x 2
185 x 14 RIR 1

PR for the Larsen & Seated OHP, I was a little gassed on shoulders but 185x15 should be there next session once I put that first. Things are moving swell. Felt a little wobbly and stiff as I was warming up but that went away quickly.

I’ve got a choice to continue pushing my Larsen this week or not, got to sit on it a little bit and think about it.

Super rare training vid lol , I realized a rep was kinda touch and go as I watched the vid , not a super big deal in the grand scheme of things

The squat video was from last night, my buddy finally got around to sending it. I’ve just been copying how Andrew Hause does his pause squats with a short pause and hold at the bottom

Conventional Beltless Deadlift - 2.25" Deficit
135 x 2
225 x 1
315 x 1
405 x 1
495 x 1
550 x 2 RIR 3-4

A bit slow and sluggish today, still hit a good set of 2.

Legs super fatigued from pause squats. Didn’t have any power off the floor. A good thing because that tells me they’re working the muscles that should be working.

I misplaced the weight on my OHP, somehow I didn’t notice this lol. It was a 5lb and 2.5 plate on the either side for my topset so it came out to 195.

I finally got a hold of a photo of me when I had dropped all my weight in highschool and was able to compile this together. The two photos on the left are 90lbs apart and to the right would be 80lb apart. 5 years apart age wise from left to right.

Wanted to share this because 1) I’m proud of it and 2) the last Comparison Photo I had didn’t really do it justice since it didn’t show what I looked like at my absolute lightest at 150lbs. I’m glad I kept a photo of me when I was still out of shape because I’m pretty sure it’s the ONLY photo of me at that weight and age.

There’s still more work to do for sure. I’ve been on one really long bulk with mini cuts the last 4 years. I have a pretty “all or nothing” mentality. I’ll do one big super cut and lean out eventually when the mindset has shifted haha.
