The Push to 2020 Has Begun!

Internet badass - how scary.

I knew my comment about teaching got under your skin, by your original smarmy reply. But you could always demonstrate your supposed intellect, by listing how Biden would be an improvement over Trump with some cogent points concerning his positions and verifiable acts.

I’ve posted more about things other than Trump than you have posted about defending him in the last few months in PWi I would guess. I don’t have a magical standard for him. He’s demonstrably a juvenile idiot.

I wonder why your standards for him are seemingly non existent and why criticism of the President annoys you so much? You don’t typically address the criticism much for some reason.
I don’t remember you being annoyed when people hated on Obama on here. But maybe you were it’s been a while.

Perhaps it’s time to defend his actions when people criticize him and not just criticize people who criticize him. Isn’t that behaving exactly like he does? Do you think that’s a worthy trait? Is it the frequency of calling out him that bothers you? Should people limit themselves? Like say he does 10 things that someone sees as worthy of criticism and we just talk about one a week instead of list them all?

I’d much rather talk about the actions and words of politicians than get into personal pissing matches like this is going. At least one of them seems more productive to me. And it’s not like we have a lot of places to go. Although I’m gonna have close to 70 hours this week. So much for working from home being easier!

Oh! I’m glad you posted that, @H_factor

For eight-plus years (including his campaign time)…Conservatives had all kinds of “standards” by which they judged President Obama and his administration…incessantly…and had Conservative Media to broadcast it all…

Then the Narcissist-in-Chief gets elected, and “poof”…those standards disappear quicker than a Big Mac on Trump’s plate…

Either one of you can “market” the benefits of the presumptive opponent, based on his positions or verifiable acts. Then there might be something to discuss.

Otherwise - might as well post over and over Sun is rising in the east again.

What the current President is doing isn’t worthy of discussion to you is fine with me. What I don’t get is that if you feel that way why you are mad that others do? It seems really easy to decide not to talk about the criticism if you aren’t interested.

Instead you say please don’t talk about what he did. It seems you’ve conditioned yourself to ignore and/or deflect no matter what he does. The rest of us just aren’t at that point.

It seems like you are ok with or didn’t read the article Lucasmom posted. But you are mad that others did and responded? Why are the contents of that article not important to you but anonymous people discussing it on a message board is?

Maybe there is another side to this, maybe one or the other is a fabrication.
This article is far more detailed.

The article linked mentioned a few different things and this article goes into detail about one of them. I feel as this would have been a good place to start.

Sure we could discuss the IGs being under one of the other branches, rather than under DOJ.
I particularly could see them being under Judicial. To prevent Legislative from trying to make the Executive serve as its pleasure, but still ensuring laws are carried out as written (their function it seems).
Different thread, I guess.

Real life whiny little bitch.

Or you could stop being a whiny little bitch. No one forces you to read what others post.

Coward? Oh, I get it. Because I wouldn’t say any of that to your face? Why wouldn’t I? Because you are so scary I would be afraid if you got violent? The fact you would get violent over words shows you are an idiot. The fact you think that would scare me shows you live in a fantasy world. The truth is, you would do nothing and you know it. Also, keep in mind you’ve talked shit over the internet as well. Think about that genius; you talk shit to me because I insulted a piece of trash politician and when I respond you call me the anonymous coward. You’re a fool.

I don’t believe Trump has positions. I think those positions change with feedback from Hannity, Limbaugh, etc. I don’t think he has shown anything when it comes to consistency while he ran, nor now that he has power. Any position he takes is subject to change at a moments notice. Or he has obvious glaring hypocrisies in anything he says is an issue. The guy who says buy American and build a wall had most of his merchandise made out of this country and still employs illegals to this day. He probably doesn’t care much about either of those things really. But he knows he needs to keep saying it.

What we have seen consistently is a man who has an inability to behave in anyway other than erratic. Consistent dangerous rhetoric, consistent dangerous actions and temperament. A person who is always on edge and always boiling over. A person who lies so often and so directly that he essentially is impossible to fact check. If he says something that needs checked and is asked about it he might just say I never said that/did that. A person that multiple people close to him and that have worked with him have said they essentially need to baby sit him and even when they do they can’t control what he does. He’s like a teenager. Thinks he is the smartest person around, doesn’t think before speaking, and prone to doing whatever he thinks. And Trump has shown he has no idea how government works and no inclination to learn at all.

Of all his flaws it’s the lack of intellectual curiosity that may be the most telling. Trump doesn’t care to learn and doesn’t care to listen to experts. He knows more than everyone about everything. Have you dedicated your entire life to studying something and all your peers say this is one of the top people or the top person in an area? Most people listen to those people because it’s obvious when other people are more intelligent in certain areas. Trump won’t do that.

The weird thing is some of those could be said about Biden. The difference is Biden doesn’t have a history of behaving in that manner on a minute to minute basis and has shown empathy and respect for other people. Biden is old and probably losing it upstairs potentially at a fast rate. That’s scary. But he isn’t nearly as scary as his opponent in that regard.

I can see someone hating and being scared of Biden. That position totally makes sense to me. But anyone who has seen what the President does for the last what 5-6 years of becoming a “politician” who says “give me more of that action” I can’t understand. If that’s the case I know I can’t see eye to eye with the person on how they think a President should behave. And it would be one thing if it was just me. We have people who lean right and people who are fairly far right in many aspects on this board who have said they don’t want any part of him anymore.

He really doesn’t, and he has admitted as much.

He believes in ratings.

Andrew Cuomo.

Clear, distinct, honest and straightforward COVID-19 updates, recently with PowerPoint presentations.

Recognizes the press, and gives them clear, distinct answers.

Says “I don’t know” when he doesn’t know…and points out his mistakes when he makes them.

Most importantly, knows that the virus and its behavior will determine future actions; not setting arbitrary dates.

Then there is…

@zecarlo reminded me on another thread that I must be comparing Cuomo’s updates and leadership to Biden’s.

Yep…that’s right…don’t want to be told to get a damn Life again…

Cuomo’s approach should be absolutely embarrassing to Biden…

Pretty sad that Biden is far more rational than the current President. We should do better with our options. The guy trying to figure out how to raise gas prices in the middle of a global economic crisis. I guess he isn’t sure how to feel if he called it like a massive tax cut and now works against it.
