The Push to 2020 Has Begun!

I feel like the majority of Warren supporters would flock to Bernie. It may be best that she stays in for the people who aren’t COMPLETELY communist yet so they have an alternative to Bernie.

Good point, and I agree. Most of Warren’s supporters would go to Bernie, and most of Bloomberg’s supporters would go to Biden. However, the more candidates there are in the race, the harder it will be for any one to get a delegate majority. If no candidate goes into the convention with a majority or at least a large plurality, you can count on the DNC to fuck it up. They’ll somehow arrive at the worst possible outcome while pissing off the greatest number of people along the way.

On a side note, I heard that Bloomberg has spent $650 million. Crazy how far money will take you in this country.

This is the best possible outcome in my mind.

Amen, @kjm:

The “train” I see coming is two fold, none of which is good for the DEMS (and IMO, the Country):

  1. Sanders wins outright…then gets absolutely crushed by Trump in the General Election.

  2. Sanders goes into the Convention with the most delegates; and the DEMS pull a “Hillary” and somehow bargain the nomination away from him, and the “winner” becomes the one “with the greatest chance to beat Trump”…and the DEMS lose again.

The more I look at the possible scenarios, the more I see 2020 as a election that is Trumps to lose.

Thoughts?

IMO this is more damaging to the party long term by a lot. You want to push more people to AOC and away from establishment Dems? You want to ingrain cynicism into the fiber of the current 18-30 year olds (the most likely to support Bernie, and also the biggest future demographic of voters)? Do this.

Sanders got legitimately screwed with how they handled the 2016 primaries. Twice in a row and you’ll alienate a shitload of future voters.

@doogie:

I sure hope Haley is smarter than to get involved in the vortex of Trump’s Shit Storm of an “administration”.

She is cautiously, but methodically, building up both a National and International Network; working tirelessly to get the Large Conservative donors on her side; and is tirelessly speaking to all types of grass-root groups domestically and internationally.

I just don’t see an advantage to her getting involved so directly with Trump at this point.

With that said…I guess we’ve seen stranger things in politics happen.

Agree…and it can’t be emphasized enough…future voters.

Pretty sure we’ve had this conversation but I don’t see it happening. If she has presidential aspirations being tied to Trump undoubtedly hurts her in 2024. She was also an anybody but Trump gal.

If she only cares about a 2020 republican win it makes sense. If she wants to be the first woman president it doesn’t.

By the way:

While the African American Vote is a strong voting block; this election has shown that there is a very obvious generational divide developing.

Agree 100%.

Well I suppose it does if she’s banking on a Trump death. The dude is old, senile, and obese. But short of that doesn’t make sense.

Probably fairly likely as he would be 78 at the end of a second term.

Sanders couldn’t convince New England to support him on Super Tuesday, barely topping 50% in Vermont. I wonder why?

The leftist cunts will bury ol’ Bernie once again. Biden the disoriented loon will get the nomination. Trump trounces him…the left REEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSS

I think Biden has the best chances against Trump. Sanders is to left for independents and moderates IMO. I also think that Sanders would have much larger down ballot impact than Biden.

Don’t get me wrong. I think Biden is a bit of a bumbling idiot. I think he would be a boring president, and I welcome that.

Biden is a panderer. That shit enrages me. And he seems legitimately unaware of his surroundings at times. And…he’s really handsy with young girls.

And Warren lost her home state of Massachusetts!

Not good!
