The Push to 2020 Has Begun!

Just break down and ask the parents if you can drink in the basement. Who knows, they might even let you bring a girl down there if you can find one! :joy:

You obviously deliberately misunderstood my post. I’ll try again. He was a dedicated republican. Trump’s behavior, corruption, and idiocy combined with the GoP’s snivelling drove him out of the party.

So far out, in fact, that he flipped entirely. This is obviously the “extreme” part, which means that a complete flip like so isn’t the norm and is a self inflicted wound on the GoP.

Trolling 1/10. Needs more work.

That would defeat the purpose of being able to take the mask off. Girls are icky, you know.

And to think that not too long ago you were so happy and proud when your parents stopped making you wear a bib.

She can leave hers on then!

You don’t become a “Democratic Socialist” because you are a supporter of capitalism, republicanism, or anything of the sort. That someone like that voted Republican speaks poorly of the Republican Party pre-Trump. I don’t believe Trump is worthy of driving out someone like that, but credit where credit’s due.

Why would I do that? Social distancing is also necessary. You guys pretend like this disease is a joke. I’m sure I’d be fine with it, but there are elderly people I care about. I don’t want to kill them. Go ahead and give your parents/grandparents the equivalent of HIV and brain cancer. I don’t agree with it, but this is a free country. You can be selfish if you want, I guess.

Seriously, I think of politicians as being similar to all the guys on stage at a Mr Olympia contest. They’re all not clean. We just accept it’s part of the game. It’s only when Branch Warren suddenly intercepts an invoice from a dealer for an order of 20 vials of tren to “RC” when shit starts to fly.

Fantastic comparison. I am stealing this for my BB friends.

I don’t disagree. Anyone who has been in the political game for a while has some stuff that they would probably not want to come out. It’s just the irony of Trump calling someone else dirty sitting on piles of scandals is crazy. It would be like if before the Olympia judging Jay Cutler came out and said “Ronnie’s juicing you can’t let him win!”

But in fairness it’s largely worked for him. It’s the Bannon strategy. Say enough shit and it becomes real.

Yeah it’s why I find all this so amusing.

Imagine Jay’s fanboys going, “Jay’s using but Ronnie used lots more tren that’s why he’s so much drier!”, Ronnie’s fanboys are going, “Bullshit! It’s cos of all the grits he eats!” while Flex Wheeler’s in a corner keeping his head down hoping no one brings up synthol.

Very successful MLM salesman once told me what it takes for one to be successful in his field(translated):

“If there’s a dead chicken lying on the ground right in front of you, you have to be able to convince the people standing there that the chicken is alive.”

That’s actually a pretty smart way to sort people out. You might only get 3 people out of 20 to go for it, but those 3 will be true believers.

Yup. That’s almost exactly what he meant but I couldn’t translate it well enough.

So now you have 3 believers spreading the word for you and it spreads in exponential fashion.

There’s a reason the Nigerian scam e-mails have such atrocious wording and spelling - they’re intentionally filtering out people who wouldn’t fall for it anyway.

For the first time in 100 years, the Manchester Union Leader endorses a Democrat:

President Trump is not always 100 percent wrong, but he is 100 percent wrong for America.

Not the disease.

One thing I agreed with Trump was the desire to get tough with China and reshore some of the work getting outsourced there. As expected, he didn’t do that either. His clumsy, hamhanded trade war was a disaster - it flopped, cost consumers substantially, and wrecked farmers’ (and other’s) export market. And for what benefit? It didn’t bring back manufacturing jobs and we still have trade deficits as far as the eye can see.

I wasn’t a big fan of the trade war idea, but that’s probably largely because I’m not protectionist by nature. I also didn’t have confidence he could pull it off, but that’s separate. However I WAS a fan of finding ways to get tougher on China geopolitically.

I think someone else could have done a much better job with that particular hammer.

Who specifically? Just curious.
