I defer to your expertise then, I haven’t been following that story all that closely. I am commenting from a very basic observation perspective. That Biden grew tremendously in wealth during his tenure as a politician and Trump actually lost net worth, hence losing money while being a politician. Beyond that, I don’t know the details.
Want this story to be true? We have the emails! I’ve seen them, everybody whose read the Post’s articles have seen them. I am sure there is a way to spin this narrative, but I don’t know how to do so without invoking something way off the reservation.
And Biden suddenly went into hiding until Thursday. 2 weeks before the election he called a “lid” for the whole week. Explain that.
Go ahead, I am not pretending I can control what you think. But don’t even come at me with Russia. Just… no.

And what is it, with the ‘what-about-ism’? Russia was proven false by the Special Counsel. You cannot get more debunked than that. They couldn’t even manufacture evidence to back up the manufactured evidence. Have you not followed the Durham report at all?
We actually don’t. We have PDFs that appear to be edited that came from Rudy Giuliani (not exactly a reliable source).
They have seen PDFs that might be Hunter’s emails. These still haven’t been confirmed.

As a matter of fact, we should bet on it with real money. I bet that the emails are real, you bet they are fake. You decide what serves as enough proof and we bet, how about that?
Why have the real emails not been produced? If a PDF has been made, the original is somewhere, right? Did Rudy delete the emails after making the PDFs?
It just doesn’t make sense that the evidence hasn’t been presented yet, if they actually have it.

Absolutely is not a legitimate set of concerns. It is clear that the Russians and Rudy concocted this malarkey. The media shouldn’t legitimize it with a single question. It certainly shouldn’t be allowed on social media.

Want this story to be true (as in, evidence of actual corruption of Biden Sr., not Hunter) for their political team’s sake.
We have PDFs. I edit PDFs all the time, and the programs to do so cost leas than $50. I can change contents, metadata, and other items. Loppar provided a quick demonstration of how jpegs and such things can be manipulated up thread.
The Post is indeed a large publication with a very large readership circulation, but I find it becoming increasingly slanted from what I remember, and have started eyeing stories from it with some skepticism.
More importantly is that the Post doesn’t have to be bad OR slanted here for this story to be wrong specifically in the area of Biden Sr. selling influence.
That is easy. His polls at the time demonstrated a growing lead, his team figured he could hurt himself with gaffes more than help, so they stopped travel.
This is perfectly reasonable.
Biden has been in national political office for almost 50 years. He started in 1973. There is almost no way for him NOT to have grown in net worth. That bothers me exactly not at all. His starting salary was almost $250,000/year in inflation adjusted dollars. He is only worth 9 million or so, after almost 50 years in politics. If you made $250,000/year during the 70s and invested, you could easily be worth that much today. That’s EASILY within reasonable limits considering he is still “working” and getting speaking fees, etc. Not at all what I would consider a red flag.
Incidentally, he started in the Senate around the same time that Donald took out that loan from his Dad.
Carefully note the way I phrased my comments about Trump and Russia to you. Did I say Trump was guilty? No. I said there’s “less meat” on this story than the Russia investigation.
Meaning: if you didn’t think there was meat on the investigation into Trump, you should be equally reticent to accept this storyline. Alternately, if you DID think there was fire with the Trump connection, you should maintain a bit more caution here.

Yeah but just remember only Trump can save America from the problems that are currently happening in Trump’s America. It’s a unique line to close with. Something akin to “who knows better about fixing the current American problems than the guy whose been in charge for four years?”
What does Hunter Biden say?
Asked to verify whether the email is genuine, Hunter Biden’s attorney George Mesires told The Fact Checker: “We have no idea where this came from, and certainly cannot credit anything that Rudy Giuliani provided to the NY Post , but what I do know for certain is that this purported meeting never happened.”
Well, there you go, a straightforward no directly to the question of the authenticity of the e-mails.
Trump really making his case down the stretch at these rallies. He’s not focusing on some lame illness.
“You know what really bothers me? When you go into a new hotel or new house, they have these faucets, and you turn them on and no water comes out,” the president said.
“So you go into a hotel or you buy a house, and they have what’s called the restrictor. Right? Look at them. They’re all nodding. Same thing, by the way, same thing with your dishwasher. I freed that up too. The dishwashers, they had a little problem,” the president said.
“They didn’t give enough water, like, so people would run them 10 times, so they end up using more water. And the thing’s no damn good. We freed it up. Now you can buy a dishwasher and comes out and beautiful. Go buy a dishwasher. Go buy it. Those companies. I said, ‘What’s wrong with this thing? It doesn’t clean the dishes.’ Right? The women come up to me, the women who they say don’t like me, they actually do like me a lot. Suburban women, please vote for me. I’m saving your house.”
So I said to the head, I called up a great dishwasher company from Ohio that we saved, by the way, I said, ‘What’s the problem with your dishwasher?’ ‘Well, they don’t give us any water. I mean, you know, it’d be nice to be able to get enough water.’ ‘What’s the problem?’ ‘We need more water,’” the president recalled.
“Like I said, ‘How much do you need this? Would you like more?’ ‘Well, I’d love more. Will you give us more?’ ‘Yeah. I’ll give you more. You have so much water, you don’t know what to do with it.’ Right? So we gave them what they need. And now the dishwashers are incredible. They work beautifully. And you go one time and you come back and our dishes are nice and beautiful and clean and dry. You don’t have to go 10 times. The same thing with the restrictors in the faucet.”
At one point in his diatribe, Trump suggested reporters would focus on the word “toilet” if he used it.
“I hate to say the three things. It’s the shower, it’s the sink, and you know the third element in the bathroom. But I don’t say it, because every time I say it, they only talk about that one,” Trump said, pointing to the media section.
“Because it’s sort of gross to talk about, right? So I won’t talk about the fact that people have to flush their toilet 15 times. I will not talk about it. I’ll only talk about showers,” he continued. “This way they can’t report it.”
I think this was a Seinfeld episode.

Here’s an interesting thing to consider.
So there’s an old buddy of mine who I’ve lost track of over the years. He has gotten caught for a lot of bad things and has spent most of his adult life in prison.
I on the other hand, have not. So let’s say I were to pop my head up in the public sphere and people started digging around and found my old buddy. They ask “What do you know about Skyz?” and he tells them everything. Names, dates, deeds, and details.
Does that make them any less true?
I mean, who are you supposed to ask?
Nobody I’ve met in the last 18 or so years could give you the slightest insight into anything shady I’ve been involved with.
Some guys who are in prison right now could tell you a thing or two about certain deeds done in the late 90s that could be problematic if I run for President.
The guy who isn’t in prison ended up moving to Texas and becoming a Democrat activist, so h can be written off as well.

Sure! Same here. Heck, there are a lot of people who are sure that I’m a damn good person.
And they would both be right.
That’s kinda why I’m willing to extend the benefit of doubt in both directions.
This hand full of people say “Bidens a great guy, will give you the shirt off his back…”
And some others will say “He’s a thieving scumbag that wouldn’t stop touching my wife.”.
And they are both telling the truth.
