After that shit-show of a debate I cannot wait until Trump finishes his second term, signs more great legislation and EO’s, fosters a worldwide revolution of peace, understanding and love, then exits the scene. Afterwards, we can look forward to Gen-X conservatives taking the reigns.
A little off-topic, but here is a super-cheesy joint campaign ad. It still has a good overall message. And it’s fun. And it’s markedly different from Trump. It’s almost like these guys all grew up in the 80’s and 90’s like I did.
I take it you didn’t like my comment because you’re leaning towards Joe Biden, who has never come out in support of a worldwide revolution of peace, understanding and love in the same kind of way that Donald Trump can be interpreted to have done.
Can you point to any comments by Biden denouncing those who are against peace, understanding and love? Why has he been silent on this matter? What is he REALLY after?
He’s only throwing it away if he agrees with one candidate even one-one millionth more than the other. If he believes Trump and Biden are exactly equal, then voting for a third party is fine. Of course, someone who prefers one even slightly over the other is basically voting for the other by voting third party.
So…if Pence ends up being the candidate, does that help or hurt the Republicans? I’m torn. I kind of feel like those people who would have voted Trump even if he shot someone in the street may still turn out for Pence. Plus it would be a lot easier for independents moderates to vote for Pence.
I think it would help the gop. It may just bring back some of the independents who just cant stand trumps tactics. A lot of it also depends on who pence picks as a running mate.
I didn’t think it… well I would say ‘tastefully’ cheesy. It was clever, much lighter hearted than most political commercials and I really like Dan Crenshaw.
I like that they were able to show that these guys still have some of their military chops.
To quote Biden, “Come 'on man!” Let’s not start with the conspiracies. This isn’t twitter.
I am sure many of you are praying\ hoping he dies, painfully and slowly. That’s your right.
But his chances of survival are pretty high.
Trump didn’t get shot, he got sick and he’s got the best medical care, buckets of hydroxychloroquine by his bed and he will be back on his feel in 2 weeks.
People get sick, even candidates. Only difference is now he will know covid from personal experience.
I think it hurts the GOP. Trump has been successful because he fires up the base and gets them to turn out. I don’t see Pence inspiring that kind of fervor. So, you’d likely have a candidate with most of Trump’s baggage (being tied to his administration), but without Trump’s strengths. Besides, there’s no guarantee he’d even be the nominee. The party could nominate anyone.
Longer term, the GOP is going to have to grow the tent to be successful. Demographic trends just aren’t moving in their direction. They haven’t won the popular vote since 2004, and before that, 1988. So, maybe they’d just bite the bullet and make the pivot with this election.
One question I have is would the Republican party even be able to get another person on the ballot at this point, or is it too late? Would they be looking at a national write-in campaign?
