It means he is pardoning criminals left right and centre. Firing prior witnesses within the impeachment trial (illegal conduct), replacing anyone not fiercely loyal to him… obstructing congress with refusal to cooperate/witness tampering/trying to block people from testifying against him… Uses brute force to get his way (Orlando hurricane forecast), is rather rude, doesn’t seem to care what he says… thrives on pushing conspiracy theories to his followers, has multiple lawsuits and rape allegations being pushed towards him (one of which is demanding a DNA sample, I’m sure he’ll weasel out of it) withheld funds to Ukraine based when they refused to investigate a political rival (based on his own agenda… when has trump even been focused on enforcing anti corruption protocol)
made a mockery out of impeachment,

Seems like an intelligent move for a President, especially one hated by so much of the government.

Trump is not a Yankee. His grandfather was an immigrant. He was also born in NY, not New England. Those of us in New England who can trace our roots back to colonial days are the only real Yankees.

He was impeached. He wasn’t removed from office. When the jury says that they are not interested in testimony and states the outcome of the trial before it happens, can we assume it was not a fair trial?
Someone in his admin (most seem to think it was him) re-drew the impact zone for a hurricane with a marker to match where trump said the hurricane would hit. It was actually pretty comical.
IMO, he should as other world leaders seem to mock him. I think it is important to be respected intellectually as a world leader for obvious reasons.
“Windmills cause cancer” is one of the ones that comes to my mind. I actually think the comedy in that balances the embarrassment out.
Understanding how women respond to rape would help with understanding this. They often feel ashamed. Often they end up at the hospital instead of the police station (often it is never reported). Often a rape kit is used hours after the actual rape occurred.
If one cares about democracy they should care about this. It directly undermines a fair election between the incumbent and the challenger with the incumbent having a large advantage of having tax payer dollars to use to influence outside governments.
Blocking witnesses, saying he would testify, then not, tweeting confirmed false statements, identifying a protected whistle blower…
I’m actually interested to see if the US will reject Bernie after the U.K. chucked a similar candidate into the sea.
It will make an interesting side by side comparison regardless (assuming Bernie is the nominee).
That said, it would be partially apples and oranges, as Boris Johnson is only superficially similar to Trump. Bernie and Corbyn have less daylight between them than Trump and Johnson, but Bernie is optically less of a bastard than Comrade Corbyn.
As to the others, I think Biden and Bloomberg are finished. If it isn’t Bernie, it’s likely to be a brokered convention, and, if it is, I’m calling the election for Trump there and then.

The question is whether any of Bernie’s student base will show up if he isn’t on the ballot. I suspect they’d stay home.

In most of the cases involving high-profile men, the women should. There’s no reason to go spreading your legs or lips just because someone is famous.

So…no investigating other politicians(BTW, this was Trump’s first attempt at being a politician…so no investigating any potential future-politicians either)? Nice idea. The President is the head of the Executive Branch of the Federal Government…which is the branch responsible for…enforcing laws.
How did Trump block witnesses? Did he have to testify? Who cares what he tweets…who even reads tweets? Teenaged girls? What do you mean by “protected?” Is a whistleblower’s identity legally protected at all times and its revelation by everyone prohibited?
I think we’re in for interesting times no matter what, but an open communist running for President on the Democratic ticket would be particularly interesting.
Now we just need a guy (or gal, or perhaps a non-binary person) in the race who is on record praising Herman Goering’s contributions to preserving aviation history and their impeccable train system and oh by the way they were also very literate and even educated.

Well, the police had a known suspect. Search warrant for buccal swab from Donald Trump. Swab his mouth. Send off swabs. Compare with DNA left on dress.

True, the members of both the democratic and republican parties here weren’t exactly “impartial jurors”… had everyone been ‘impartial’ with their judgement he would’ve almost certainly been impeached though. The notion “but he was acquitted, so it’s fine” is a terrible argument given the entire trial was rushed, it was intended to be modelled after Clintons trial… the impeachment trial for Clinton was longer, slightly more fair. If I recall correctly three witnesses were present at the trial… compared to zero for Trump etc.
Also profoundly unethical, many abide by these forecasts… It was clearly doctored, however he refused to admit he’d made a mistake, went as far as to force the NWS to doctor a hurricane forecast.
Exactly, OP’s response to this was incredibly short sighted. Many don’t feel comfortable initially speaking up, especially given all the questioning, the stigma you’ll receive when accusing a powerful figure such as Trump.
During the impeachment trials he also vehemently denied sending Giuliana to Ukraine with the intent of digging up dirt on Joe Biden (a pivotal point within his defence)… after the charges were dropped, he admitted to doing this… what a joke!
Nothing, but it a was potentially anxiety inducing revelation for many citizens with Orlando when the cone was suddenly altered to having say a “cat 5 hurricane on the way”. Given current literature I don’t put much validity within the hurricane forecasts past 72 hours (and if I do, I look at the EMCWF model, not GFS)… still the average uneducated citizen won’t know this, it’s profoundly immoral behaviour and I don’t know why we just sit back and let it happen.
What about the pushed ideology regarding a “deep state cover up”… the comments stating the “radical do nothing dems” are systemically ganging up against him and his followers for no good reason… If there’s anything trump is good at, it’s riling up his base… though he uses fear mongering, conspiracy theories and false statements to do so.
