The Push to 2020 Has Begun!

It is from coast to coast. That’s pretty widespread. But again: How many are you willing to tolerate? How many lives are willing to allow to be lost to the riots? How many police officers are you willing to have injured, blinded, or killed? How many businesses are you willing to have looted and burned? How many times should CNN reporters be allowed to stand in front of burning buildings and talk about peaceful protests?

Sounds much like the COVID argument, doesn’t it Doogs?

if it was white supremacists burning, looting, and rioting I’m pretty sure you and thunderbolt would be screaming bloody murder. But Marxists are ok.

WRONG!

And what you wrote is really disappointing.

At NO point have I said that the current rioting and looting was okay in any shape or fashion.

(REALLY disappointing, @doogie…if you even care one way or the other).

I shouldn’t have implied that you are ok with it. But I stand by saying if it was white supremacists you would be reacting WAY differently to it.

This is a lie. At what point can you just be honest about it?

I’m not not tolerating any of them, they’re all bad and every single person protesting or rioting that breaks the law should be prosecuted - I just want you (and others) to stop engaging in disiniformation. Is that too much to ask?

West Coast–Seattle, Portland, LA
Middle–Wisconsin, Minneapolis, Denver
East Coast–New York, Washington, DC.

Riots coast to coast in the last few months.

Fwiw, in the last couple months 4 of the most active posters on here have said the following:

  1. We should have snipers shooting mexicans at the borders

  2. If black folks in america are unhappy they should go back to Africa

  3. Angrily screaming “White power, white power!” at a blm counter-protestor accusing an old white man of being racist is a wholly appropriate and encouraged response.

  4. “Blacks gonna Black” in response to a list of crimes that recent police shooting victims had previously committed

So maybe white supremacy is not ubiquitous, but racism sure is.

Well, much of the rioting is either anarchists or Marxist influenced groups driving it, so I wouldn’t say that’s wrong. Either case they’re not protesters and they don’t support democratic ideals.

And there is a question about whether the financial support of the organization from unwitting, well meaning activists furthers the actual Marxist aims those founders envision by giving them more legs and reach.

It is the Republican party that has officially become a personality cult, declaring that it will not adopt a platform but will simply follow whatever Trump dictates. It is the Republican party that pretends that COVID-19 will magically disappear. It is the Republican party that has elevated a series of criminals and grifters including Paul Manafort, Rick Gates, Roy Moore, Steve Bannon, Wayne LaPierre, Rudy Giuliani, Jerry Falwell, Jr., and Roger Stone. It is the Republican party that shamefully declined to uphold the Constitution when Trump diverted funds to his border wall. It is the Republican party that has become truth-optional. And it is the Republican party that now opens its arms to adherents of a deranged but nonetheless dangerous new cult called QAnon, which a (defeated) Republican called “mental gonorrhea,” and which in December, 2016, inspired a man to open fire in a pizza parlor in Washington, D.C., as part of a “self investigation.” The FBI has designated QAnon a domestic terror threat, yet minority leader Kevin McCarthy has committed to providing committee assignments to Marjorie Taylor Greene, should she be elected in November.

That pretty much describes me, except for the voting Biden part.

Ann Dorn’s (Wife of David Dorn who was murdered in the riots) was very moving.

Some people change party after a lifetime? I didnt read your article or even mine.

I wish the vote was tomorrow…

I think a really big advantage for Trump is that I think his ability to lose voters right now is incredibly low. I can’t think really of a single thing Trump could say that would cause a Trump supporter to say “well that’s too far.” I mean the laundry list of lies and things that would sink almost every other politician ever all of that is known already.

If someone has decided to vote for Trump at this point I don’t see anything changing their mind. Trump could do literally anything say anything get his ass handed at the debate propose whatever and I think he’s golden with them. I’m not sure the same could be said for Biden. I think he has an ability to really go down in a way Trump doesn’t. What we have always seen from Trump is that most people don’t like him (rarely if ever historically above 50 percent approval on the whole). But his “floor” has been pretty high for the most part. Even when he’s had bad weeks his approval wouldn’t tank super low. If you look at his approval graphs they have surprisingly little significant movement. Comparing them to pretty much the rest of the modern presidents with a lot of data who have much bigger swings.

Don’t get me wrong it’s not that I don’t think Biden doesn’t have people who he can’t lose no matter what he does. But to me Trump can’t say anything to really lose his voters right now. I think a lot of that comes back to the nomination. I mean republicans who crowed about the debt and a healthcare takeover picked a dude who proposed nationalized healthcare and defaulting on the debt. I just can’t imagine him saying anything right now that really drops him to levels we haven’t seen before. If he proposed Bernie Sanders stuff tomorrow I think he loses almost zero votes. I think most people just won’t believe him or won’t even care. And you had the entire party say we’re rolling with him no matter what he wants which is what we have seen for four years.

Agree, @H_factor.

I have believed that Trump’s negatives have been “baked in” for sometime now…giving him a huge advantage to do and say what he wants; almost with impunity; without affecting his poll numbers one way or the other, while solidifying his already firm base support.

And I hope the Democrats, including their nominee soundly denounce this stuff by the end of day

Anyways, new Trump campaign ads. You guys are poo-pooing this waaaay too much. Democrats are giving away this election trying to not offend their far-left

She didn’t change parties. She’s voting for Biden to protect her country from the downside risk of four more years of Trump. Country over party.

How about you?

You apparently have changed party.
Do you really feel Dem line up up with your vision, or does that extend beyond president.

Personally, RINOs havent been my cup of tea. So l realize no party can hit every person’s preference on every issue.

I would bet no one thinks this has any degree of probability.
Joe Biden is the emptiest suit to ever be on the national ticket, so any vote that isnt for extreme social democrat goals, is solely anti Trump.

But if that one’s choice, thats our system.

No? Well, you voted for one in 2016.
