I don’t exactly see classical liberalism on the Dem side. But l mostly blame the leaders, both in office (SOTH, committee chairs) and ideas (Sanders).

You are asking for people to (in effect due to 2 party system) move wholesale to the Left’s vision by forsaking Trump/GOP. 50٪ of the voters are clearly telling you they aren’t interested.
If you think republicans care about abortion you would be wrong. They care that you care. If being anti-abortion meant the end of the republican party, do you think they would accept extinction or change their platform? And that choice will be becoming a reality.

Ending abortion is a big GOP carrot. A political party would be silly to get rid of a carrot that has worked for several decades now, which is why I believe if they ever get the power to abolish abortion, it will be crickets from them.
