You know I understand what you’re saying…but I am still wary about what will happen when Biden has to come out of his “bunker” and face the full-onslaught of a battle-hardened Trump, and yes, the Conservative Machine. (For some reason some people had problems with that term. Some said "Why not “GOP” machine? Too limiting. Biden will face the full-onslaught of both the GOP, Conservative Media and Conservative Social Media). Can you even imagine all of the video clips and images of the riots and defacement of Public properties alone that are being spliced together that “show” that Biden is all about the destruction of America?
There is no question that they are locked and loaded.
As some have said on this thread that if Biden tries to “Out Trump, Trump”…he loses BIG time. But if he sticks to his message, he has a much better chance.
But can he do this…or will Trump be able to tap into Biden’s legendary temper; force him into the middle of the ring where Trump reigns supreme?
Trump narrowly won several swing states. I believe if we had Biden in 2016, those would have been blue states and Biden would be the incumbent now. He just isn’t nearly as hated as HRC, and I think that would be enough for those electoral votes.
Then the question becomes is Biden about as liked as he was in 2016, is Trump more or less popular as 2016, how much does the US wanting 2 term presidents help Trump (I don’t think it helps him as much as past presidents as we are more polarized now).
Trump is less popular than when he took office, Biden is more liked than HRC. IMO Biden is less liked than in 2016.
I think we have a good possibility of Trump being a one term president. I think we don’t want to believe polls because they were wrong last time, but I think we are over correcting.
I can’t speak specifically to what the changes were; but I do know that CBS planned to refine it’s polling to be and have more 1) directed and specific questions 2) “confirmatory” questions (questions asked in a different way to “cross check” original answers 3) more "on-the-ground/face-to-face’ Polling and 4) more refinement of their statistical analyses.
Many Polls were caught off-guard in 2016 by way too much “general” polling and/or polling that did not factor in the true “mood” of the electorate. (Take that one as you wish…).
These seem to try to get accurate answers out of the “too embarrassed to admit it Trump supporters”.
To me it seems more probable that Trump loses in 2020, but I am not convinced of either outcomes. I do think data exists of Trump being behind in states he narrowly won in 2016.
Oh lord, Biden and the AOC/Bernie unity fest. Hmm, between Trump (with all his vile warts) and a hollowed out useful sock puppet of far leftism? Yay, so excited to vote. Another year sitting out.
You wallow in the mud with self described socialists (yeah, lets vote for that while marxists tear down our monuments, erase our history, and cancel us) and bemoan a group of nuns exemption from having to provide contraception coverage, you get to wear the far left hat by my account. If someone wants to call him a a centrist, or even a libertarian, go for it. By my account that man is the useful sock puppet of the far left. And what happened to the ‘women don’t lie about that sort of thing’ that never ceased with Kavanaugh’s nomination? Rapist Joe Biden? Where’s the damn hearings? To heck with both these men, yet again.
The believe women thing was terrible logic from the start. There are instances where a woman could lie about it to her advantage, and it has been proven to happen rather often (usually a form of revenge). So looking into each case and the evidence is what should be done. It is just unfortunate that actual rapes often don’t have good evidence. Even a positive rape kit isn’t really evidence, as a consensual encounter would show as a positive rape. However, I am of the opinion that it is better to have 10 guilty go free than lock up 1 innocent person. We have to be sure about what we are doing when it comes to years of someone’s life.
I think by definition they are democratic socialists. That is far from socialist. Bernie calls himself one, but IMO that is more because of his political opponents calling him that for years. His policy is democratic socialist, not socialist.
Tell me something, how hard do you expect Biden to push back against the cancel culture? All snuggled in with the AOCs and Bernies? You know, the same people who would tear down Rowling for daring to say a trans woman isn’t actually a female? The same people who want white employees rounded up and presumed guilty for corporate re-education? Mr (cue white guy trying to ‘sound black’) “…put yall back in CHAAAINs!”? Yeah, I bet Biden is going to be such a strong champion of American history, diversity in thought, and culture. Hallowed out shell Biden is going to deliver AoC and Bernie to the mainstream of what is to even be a Democrat as he relies on them and their ilk.
Not all that much. At least I hope he doesn’t. It seems outside of the scope of what a President’s role should be. Should the President be able to force people to keep supporting different celebrities or companies?
IMO, the President is not responsible to support or condemn people based on their opinions. I hope he just stays out of this stuff if he becomes president. In fact, Trump weighing on this stuff has been a disappointment to me.
A president has a platform to opine from about currents in the American life. If a President is that much of a coward he shouldn’t be President. Get out of the basement.
What a whimpy, guilt-ridden, July 4th greeting. We’ve never lived up to it? This is guy is a cringe fuelled panderer with the left-progressive hand now planted so firmly up his backside he can taste AoC’s nail polish.
I’m beginning to think good people just don’t want to be President.
I guess I just prefer that they stick to policy, and refrain from twitter to comment on the latest gossip. Just what I want out of a president. Maybe some enjoy tweets about JK Rowling or Colin K.
If we replace left-progressive and AOC’s nail polish with Fox News and Hannity’s hand I bet you know who I am talking about. BTW, I think both are sexual predators (IMO more evidence exists against Trump than Biden). I think both are about equal in mental decline, and I think both are more centrist than most people think. They just do the song and dance of the right and left talking points.
Statistically, the people who make it to high positions in the private sector or government are more likely to be psychopaths.
One study had evaluation data from people progressing quickly in a company or people who already progressed to a high up position. 3% of those people qualified as psychopaths in a evaluation. 1% of the general population qualifies, and 15% of prison population qualifies.
I think the higher up you go, the percentages go up. I worked for a medical device company that was pretty big, and the lack of empathy you could see in some of the higher ups was astounding. Some were really nice, but there are a few that would through someone under the bus and possibly get them fired for a 1% raise.
Kinda a silly question IMO. They were important historical figures who did good things, but had their flaws. I don’t see the issue with just saying the facts.
