The Push to 2020 Has Begun!

I read on the internet that Trump campaign operatives, possibly of Russian origin, have been seen delivering waffles with Aunt Jemimah syrup to the White House to eat during a special screening of Gone With The Wind.

There’s no way to calculate the number of white supremacists this action will embolden, but someone somewhere will see this as permission to step out of the shadows and put on their KKK hood.

It’s probably reading into it more but who knows. I mean the President has a history of threatening to withhold federal dollars if blue states don’t do exactly what he demands.

I agree. Under any other GOP president, I wouldn’t even think to look at which states benefit. Under Trump there is a rational reason to look at these things based on his track record.

I really think infrastructure should be the backbone of recession recovery. Give people jobs, and make an investment in the future all at once.

Me too, infrastructure is great and a worthy spend - but there’s been no push for it foe 4 years, and suddenly Trump flails at the polls, and he’s Tweeting how he’s handing out government in all these places where he’s losing support.

That’s not infrastructure. That’s payola.

Nevada 3x in a row Dem, and Florida is swing state
So 5/7 not accurate.

Well, this was 30 months ago, but Dems…

IIRC, Nevada is a swing state. Past elections don’t seem to be an absolute predictor of how that state will go in the future.

Infrastructure spending seems to be pretty bipartisan, doesn’t it? everyone agrees it needs more funding, and infrastructure spending bills seem to be something that both parties support. Why don’t we do more of it? It sure would help me out haha.

I can’t edit my post, but I in my post that you responded to I said 5/7 are battle ground or red. I consider battle ground state to be equal to swing state.

I admit I am reading too far into it. Just an observation.

I do agree whole heartedly. My Dems remarks generally always reflect my attitude against the political leaders. My parents and sister are yellow dog democrats in Louis Gohmert’s district , so l have to love some dems…hehe.

I split with rino gop in bombing foreign countries into the stone age, re-building their now destroyed infrastructure, and ignoring ours. All the while, borrowing to finance this nonsense.

I just thought it looked pretty even, not pandering.

No biggie here.

It takes a lot of nerve to hold a campaign rally in Oklahoma and then follow that up with spending DOT funds, especially in an election year.

I read on the internet that the Trump Campaign has several players of Magic: The Gathering. Their embrace of a notoriously racist collectible trading card game and predecessor to Pokemon should come as no surprise to anyone who has been paying attention to the comings and goings of white supremacists over the last four years.

No word on whether their Dungeons and Dragons group has closer ties to Russia or white supremacists, but it bears mentioning that nobody on the Trump team plays as an orc.

Sometimes the silence is louder than any scream you can imagine.

As I said above, there’s a real need. But Trump has been so unserious about it “infrastructure week (again)” became a running joke:

Again, the only reason this getting momentum is that Trump needs to signal he’s handing out government yumyums in all the places where he’s losing in polling.

No one believes Trump suddenly took an interest in the public good of infrastructure reform. That’s preposterous.

Again, payola.

Man, if i was a business owner or resident of Tulsa near the rally i would be pretty pissed that Trump continues to goad the opposition and inflame tensions. Would it be so hard to just focus his PR and tweets on his supporters, instead of essentially throwing down the challenge gauntlet to antifa and other agitators?

I really hope i am wrong and this rally happens without damage or violence.

Trumps called for violence a bunch that’s nothing new. Let’s just hope people ignore him and his supporters can say something along the lines of words don’t matter and people shouldn’t take him seriously.

Well that’s one theory. Or perhaps the GOP knew we couldn’t afford it under Obama because of the national debt, but now that the debt is much higher we can’t afford not to do it. That national debt is just 13 less letters away from being a massive deal for the GOP.

Forum is eating replies up left and right so who knows if this will disappear again or something.

I think we need infrastructure spending. Let’s hope the Dems don’t act like the GOP did for years blocking Obama left and right on it. But you do tend to reap what you sow.

I’m just old school and think that shot should be left alone lol. “Frankly my dear, I don’t give a damn” is an immortal movie scene.

Ehhhh…agree to disagree…

You shut your whore mouth about both Magic and D&D.

Pokemon is an abomination though.

I got into Magic right at the end of Unlimited, which in hindsight was a very misleading name for the set. This gives me special insight into the nerd culture present at the time, which was utterly seething with below-the-surface white supremacy and undetectable-to-the-naked-eye rank hatred of all things sensible to a modern progressive.

It is hard to describe the anticipation you feel as your mana base builds up, turn after turn, building up to the moment where you oppress the one you’re opposed to. You’ve built this moment into your deck. You know it is coming. This special trait, unique to your color, will turn the tide of the epic struggle you find yourself in the midst of. Your moment arrives, and you play your most treasured card.

Opponent vanquished, you collect your ante card and go on to form a neighborhood chapter of the Klu Klux Klan with the hatred that years of playing Magic: The Gathering has seared into your heart of hearts.

Help us, Joe Biden. You’re our only hope.

I don’t even understand the terms orc or cisgender, much less the latest posts.
23 skidoo, however.
