This is the season for a peppermint ice cream, with ground red and white peppermint candies add ins?
Nice!
I was fully planning on making that, but the stores were sold out of some of the ingredients I had in mind + Christmas travel. I’ll still make it, just have to hop on Amazon.
-Vanilla Ice cream protein powder.
-Honey (I thought it might work)
-Salt
-chopped up some of these candies
-Milk + light cream
Really good= 20 pro./ 30 carb/ 10ish fat
Also made..
-Dark chocolate protein.
-Powdered peanut butter stuff.
-Honey, salt and a touch of cinnamon.
-Milk and added in water later (it was too darn thick).
This one came in at= 25 pro/ 25 carb/ 8ish fat.
Honey Vanilla
Historically, honey was thought to cure tuberculosis, bubonic plague, epilepsy, blindness, baldness, infertility, smallpox, and melancholy. It does not. Well, except for melancholy, because who can be sad eating honey ice cream, right? Here’s how to make it:
Ingredients:
• 11 ounces milk. I used Milk 50.
• 2 scoops Metabolic Drive
• 2 tablespoons raw honey (the real stuff)
Directions:
-
Add milk and protein powder to pint. Whisk together.
-
Add honey to microwave-safe bowl and warm up it, about 20 seconds. You don’t want it boiling, just hot. It’ll thin out and get more liquidy.
-
Drizzle honey into pint while whisking.
-
Freeze.
-
Spin on the lite setting.
Last batch I made=
-4 scoop vanilla pro.
-1 can peaches (smashed up)
-1 box vanilla jello mix
-2 Tb. cinnamon.
- 1 cup 2% milk.
- 1 cup water
Done on ‘light’ setting, added 2 spoons of CoolWhip to ‘thin’ it out..![]()
Holy crap, that sound decadent!
Yes, but..it still came out with good macros.. protein for the win.
Low fat milk and whip cream…
Pistachio ice cream:
- 1C. pan roasted nuts, chopped up a bit.
- 4sc. vanilla protein
- 1 cup fat free half&half
- 1 C. 2% milk
- 1 C. water, added in a ‘mix in’.
- 1.5 box of Pistachio jello
- 1 Tb. vanilla
- 1 Tb. almond
- A few extra nuts, crushed for garnish.
Slow cooked/mixed in everything, then cooled and frozen.
20pro/ 25carb/ 10fat per serve.
Toasted Marshmallow
Fun Fact: As early as 2000 BC, the ancient Egyptians ate marshmallows, but they were considered so special that they were reserved for gods and royalty. Snobs.
Anyway, here’s a no-added-sugar version of marshmallow ice cream with around 60 grams of protein per pint.
Ingredients:
• 11 ounces milk (I went with fat-free Fairlife)
• 2 scoops Metabolic Drive vanilla
• 1-2 tablespoons toasted marshmallow syrup (sugar-free DaVinci)
• 1/4 cup chopped marshmallows (sugar-free Max Mallow)
Directions:
-
Whisk together the milk, protein powder, and syrup. Freeze.
-
Spin on the Lite setting.
-
Add chopped marshmallows.
-
Hit the Mix-In button.
