The multiplicity of issues that seem front burner if not nearly existential, make me wonder who but a madman would want the position of President. Medical eating 1/6 of the economy, entitlements mathematically impossible to sustain in future, debt to a level that US could lose reserve currency in near future, psychopaths with nukes or just plain desire to kill conventionally, population that spends more time worried if numbnuts is standing for anthem than being involved in their country’s affairs, election reform before electorate starts looking for lamp posts suitable for former politicians.
And therein lies the bright side: we can go for bike rides without worrying about getting our throats slit by highwaymen. We have indoor plumbing. We are hungry only when we are cutting. We have access to ice even when the outdoor temperature is above freezing. It is much more likely we will kill ourselves with our own vices than that we will die by political violence. Oh, and football is back. Not all bad if you ask me.
And coming full circle between your comments, like, and Smh’s, and hopefully you can see the source of our frustration - look at these issues we’re facing, exisential as you point out, and people are worried about taco trucks on every corner?
I mean, it’s laughable. The republic is headed into a ditch, and Trumpkins think the worst thing in the world is a Mexican family living across the street and their kid receiving public assistance with a hot lunch program.
He is just another PC left wing politician. I’m very glad he’s running he will pull mostly from the corrupt pants suit. Jill Stein the Green Party candidate will pull about 100% from Hillary. Nice…
All of them are, because immigrant people vote Democrat by a disproportionate amount. Most immigrant people think government is the answer. You would have a fair argument if the voting distribution were more even, but it’s not, not even close. Legalize 11 million of these people, and you give Dems at least 7 million more votes. Put another few Liberal justices on the Supreme Court, and your guns and free speech are gone, but don’t worry because single payer would be next and would pass.
There are also some factors that figure in to concerns about illegal immigration above the tax money needed to accomodate their presence.
Anchor baby provision needs reform. Can I run over and father a child in one of the generous Euro countries so I am assured of his lifelong provision?
Those against unlimited local job competition are doing exactly what the illegals are doing, fighting for a chance to earn their bread. However in a country that their forefathers sweated and died for. Does your will specify your own or are you just wanting it to go to whomever can wrest it away.
Culture wars. Guess what? A million years of us vs them isnt erased because some Ivy Leaguer or California fruit living in a gated community wants the world to share a coke.
There is numerical justification of more crime where the illegals hqve settled. Are they all rapists and dealers? Only a small number, but they turn a blind eye. Whether by fear or kinship, who cares. The result is more crime.
Some cultures don’ t mesh or want integration into our society. 5th generation " but still Mexican or Salvadoran" Then get out. Muslim and here to ultimately conquer the West and Christianity? Then get out. And block them in the first place. LEARN THEIR RELIGION - it is incompatable with freedom.
This has been my point from the beginning. Trump promised to appoint conservative Justices. Okay…he may not keep his promise then again he may because he wants to get reelected. But…we all know that Hillary will appoint left wing anti gun loons to the high court. Some around here are clueless…
Nope…I’m pretty clear when I say the President has made some mistakes (like ALL President’s do…even my favorite Washington… and even your beloved Reagan…)
But overall, I think the President has navigated some pretty treacherous waters fairly well…and kept a pretty level head while doing it.
He certainly has proven himself to be a man with greater patience and understanding than I would have ever had…
Please name them? And I do not ask that to argue I really would love to hear what you think he did well. I honestly cannot think of one thing other than killing Osma Binladen. I gave him a big thumbs up for that one. And quite honestly I would have loved to see him follow through with more victories. I would have loved to see him wipe out ISIS for example (instead of calling them the JV team) But I digress…
So again please tell me what he has navigated well.
Due to the fact that you have found NOTHING that the President has done right…nor choose to even entertain the idea that he has…tells me that I would be wasting both time and effort posting thoughts for you to merely piss on.
And…here we go again. I accuse Obama of many, many failures. Toss the ball over to you to simply mention a few of his successes and you refuse.
So…okay.
In your mind he’s a great leader and yet for some odd reason you can’t even name one thing he did right. I am actually ahead of you in that department. I said he killed Osama Bin Laden and that was a good thing.
Okay take care Obama supporter who cannot name even one good thing he has done. I will say this you are not alone. I’ve yet to hear any of his supporters tell me what he’s done correctly.
