I love how Dems who said Comey was a man of high character and Trumpers who said he’s a globalist Clintonite election-rigger have had to swap vantages. I wonder if they waved at each other as their paths crossed.
Both sides are projecting their hopes onto this without knowing anything concrete about it. On balance though that does do damage to Clinton because even if this comes to absolutely nothing, low-info voters need nothing more than initial headline and the suggested impression it gives them.
Incidentally, if the rumors circulating among my friends in conservative NYC media are true, Trump won’t have even tepid supporters left on this board by the middle of next week. Excluding therajraj, of course.

I agree that any dirt against Trump will be revealed this upcoming week. But Hillary runs the same risk.
I think (as he sort of said in the letter iirc?) he literally doesn’t know. It may be tens of thousands of emails. They could all be duplicates of what’s already been reviewed. They could be Abedin’s emails to herself in order to print stuff for Clinton (saw this somewhere last night). If it’s a bunch of material, the FBI is not going through all of it before the 8th.
I think Comey had to ammend his sworn testimony that things were finished in light of more material to review. He found himself in a bad political spot and did the only thing he really could.
