The Next President of the United States: III

Push, don’t turn on me because I’m not presently focusing on Democrats (there’s still a decision to be made as to faces them), calling me unhinged, etc., because I committed the crime of going after Trump’s publically stated positions, and Jerry Springer show like actions, while supposedly being the guy that run against Hillary. He is a disaster to send into the General election. He is a disaster for a viable opposition to the Democrat party. He is a disaster for what should strive to be a morally good nation. You’re going to have to continue to be offended that I’m attacking a man who doesn’t seem to mind how much he himself offends, because this process isn’t over yet.

Except I haven’t been using hyperbole in describing Trump. I’ve cited his very words in interviews, on debate stages, and in blind-firing twitter posts. So, like I said, I expect parody to have some connection with reality.

“Even Piers Morgan has woken up from his liberal bleeding-heart “kumbaya” dream state. Even Piers now recognizes that turning the other cheek will get our limbs blown off. Even Piers recognizes that having a harsh plan is better than no plan.”

So, a Cruz sex scandal…?

I don’t think it’s torture because US sailors are volunteers and those who find themselves at BUDS are again volunteers for that career path. You have a choice in the matter and it isn’t being forced on you. It’s similar to the difference between sex and rape; it’s only a matter of consent.

I’ve been CS gassed and OC sprayed. I could have stopped it at any point in time if I didn’t want to do it.

True, but even so you don’t see Navy Seals having to endure bamboo shoots under their finger nails or having fingers clipped back one by one. In other words real torture.

In my opinion there shouldn’t even be a discussion about whether or not we water board these scum sucking bastards. They are chopping innocent people’s heads off…they’re blowing up people who are going out to the mall, or for a walk. These people are barely human and need to be dealt with in the very strictest fashion allowable. I defy anyone to define evil better than what ISIS has been doing.

There’s no doubt that they are THE scum of the world, but I’m not sure waterboarding them is a great idea. It’s considered torture and ineffective at gathering actionable intelligence. I don’t think the end is justified by the means in this particular situation.

Yes. But at least tthere’s some form of consent.

I believe you responded to someone who said torture was ineffective by suggesting you could drag them out to the woods and see how long they could holdout under torture before abandoning their position? Was that you?

Well, I have a feeling that anyone denying the reality of water-boarding being torture could be made to change their minds very quickly if we subjected them to the act until they told us what we wanted to hear (that it’s torture).

poking their eyes out might give them incentive to talk. Only half joking…

I know one thing for sure ISIS has only grown larger and stronger with Obama as President. Whomever the next President is must put a stop to this evil organization or they will surely be killing more innocent civilians both at home and abroad- That is a simple reality.

A fair point.

But at what point DO the ends justify the means? When a innocent life is saved? a 100 lives? a 1000?

When is the information gleaned from a terrorist that results in saving lives, worth torture?

Perhaps we should ask some of the families who lost loved ones this week if they support such measures against this type of cowardly enemy.

Rules of engagement seem to have been invented for a enemy who played somewhat by the rules…not for an enemy who revels in dying taking innocent lives… as a reward, not as a consequence.
