The Neighborhood Bully

I wouldn’t have thought T-Nationers were a good representation, or cross section of the regular population. Body builders, weight lifters, power lifters, however you classify yourself, must actually be a very small percentage of the population. Just spending a day in public supports this, with the majority of what I see to be, well, fat rednecks.

If that’s right, it goes one step further, in my eyes, when as someone who trains, you join a website of like minded people for support, interaction, banter, jibber-jabber, whatever. A group that in my eyes, is largely type A personalities.

Admittedly, I fall into this category. Now, I don’t spend a lot of time posting. But when I run across some moron picking on people unjustly, I feel the inherent need to speak up. This is ingrained in me. Is this a type A trait? Maybe.

Here’s my question to the rest of T-Nation. Is my way of thinking here skewed? Have we become a community where when we walk right by a crime in progress, we shrug our shoulders and turn a blind eye thinking, “It’s not my problem.”

Or is it that most don’t want to become the target of ridiculous ridicule, because you know you will, as soon as you defend, or at least stand up next to the one being attacked?

Obviously, this question doesn’t apply to some. To the rest that say nothing, surely you have an opinion? Or are we a group that is more interested in our individual selves than the good of the community?
I don’t post often but I have a question,

What is it that you are trying to accomplish?

I’m not trying to flame or bring any people to one side of this argument. (which is being played out in the Steroid section, T-Cell alpha, and now Get a Life section of the forum) But I would like to know what the point of that post is?

To get rainjack steamed? To get people against rainjack? Just come out and say it, whatever it is.

Thank you.

I thought I was here for your enjoyment. Unless you mean amusement in a “Holy shit, I wanna go on that ride again” sort of way.
I’ve got a ticket to ride, but I don’t care.

Are you serious? If this thread was about RJ, then why not say it in the first place. His name is no where to be found in the opening post.
You’d have to be a dolt to not know who I was talking about. Him specifically, or whomever acts that childish. If the shoe fits…
And “Do the right thing”? Please…

Because I don’t come to the rescue of someone getting yelled at on the internet, I’m not doing the right thing? You gotta be fucking kidding. Either that or you’re in high school. If typed words on a computer screen hurt someone that bad, me “standing up” for them isn’t going to help much.

Do the right thing?

You see, I “do the right thing” in real life. I don’t need to pretend to be an online hero or whatever you think you are. This is the fucking internet and you claim to “do the right thing.”
Not even close. My bullshit flag went up faster than a hooker’s panties when she finds out you’re broke. How ever you are here, is an absolute reflection of you in life. You don’t say anything here, you don’t say anything, period.

Apparently, though, whatever point I was attempting was long lost.

Internet Hero? Really? It’s nice how you exagerate words to try and make a point.

No, I’m right here.

Yes, you are alone on this.

Are you happy now?

Wow. Good thing I don’t litigate for a living. I’d be broke.

Good thing you don’t have to rely on your logic skills, either.

It sure sounded good in my head. I guess that’s where it should have stayed.

Oh really, chief? So all these smart-ass high school kids would talk the same way the do to my, or any other poster’s face.

Yeah, I didn’t think so.

Besides, even if, online, I am a reflection of my real-life counterpart, that doesn’t mean I’m not “doing the right thing” by jumping in every thread.

It’s not bullying, as you like to call it. It’s words on a screen. If there were some real bullying going on, I might jump in.

He’s a douche, but he’s our douche. er, wait.

Can T Nation sponsor the fight, RainJack vs 5.0? I’d pay anything to watch them too duke it out.

It wouldn’t be worth the money. They never are.

I second this - it is foolish.

This passive-aggressive sniveling is a waste - we get far too many anonymous “some people do this” and “some people have said” in these forums. How hard can it be to go directly to the source you have an issue with?

If 5.0 thinks Rainjack is a “bully”, say so. He can handle it.

I personally think RJ deserves T-Nation’s Mister Congeniality award. We should come up with some sort of graphic or trophy.

When I see someone flaming an individual I put them in a rear naked choke and wait for police to arrive.

Which is the same point I made to rainjack on Brook’s tribunal. But he insists…

I get your point, malone.

You sound like my wife. She chokes me out on a regular basis.

You made no point. You said I was a chicken shit because I am not like this in real life. And you are wrong. How can you make a point when you have made an incorrect assumption?

If it is nothing more than words on a screen, why did you start this stupid fucking thread?

I am a RainJack Ride fan

5.0, I was not a fan of the passive aggressive way you went about not calling RJ out. It was a kinda junior high school mean girl.

You can choose not to read his posts. The internet is the environment where you do truly control what you take in. Don’t take in or read what you don’t want.

Shit, now I’m Lindsay Lohan. Well, maybe not. Even she came out on top in that movie. Damn.

Geez, I have clicked on 5 threads in the last few minutes and every one of them, despite have titles that said differently, have been The Battle of Rainjack vs Somebody.

I miss the good old days when people just fought with Prof X.

There are times when I find myself looking at the screen and envisioning Rainjack red faced jumping up and down stomping both feet, but he is an above board guy and what you read is what you get. He’s been around here longer than 99% of the population and everybody knows him.

This shit here is just weeniefied in the extreme. First we’re told about he goes out of his way to assault and batter fellow forum dwellers and then right after the tribunal uproar settles down we get this and without enough gumption to even name him.
