The Left vs. the Left

Raising the minimum wage causes inflation, everytime without fail.
Ever notice how raising minimum wage does nothing for poverty? It’s because no matter how high you make the bottom, it’s always the bottom.
The only thing raising minimum wage does is provide an attractive looking number, for a while. Then you need the raise it again. Everytime you do it, the value of a dollar drops.
The only thing dumber than raising minimum wage is raising it incrementally. You give inflation a chance to catch up.
What good is a $15 minimum wage if a gallon of milk costs $10 a gallon? None is the answer, in case you were wondering.

When is cheaper to wall paper your wall with dollar bills than it is to buy the paint to paint it. Then you know, too late, what a fail looks like.

Lol, I’ve never thought about it in terms of winning and losing, but thanks for the compliment!

It will be a $10 whopper that you have to order at a kiosk.

Meanwhile, unemployment will double.

Now, if Finland, Sweden and Norway needed to provide their own military, a military sufficient to actually protect themselves and carry out necessary missions to protect their own safety, do you think they would have enough money for this single payer system? Even with a small population, people do not realize that many of these countries invest little in their military because they use the U.S. military as their protection.
If we wanted to spin these countries into chaos, we only need to rescind any and all treaties that ally us with them. In other words, lets see how they do when they have to fend for themselves and cannot count on the U.S. military to carry out the very missions that protect their interests.

Every country with low military spending is highly dependent on their alliance with the U.S. Without U.S. military might, their little fairy tale lives would be over.

Usmcds423: Are you trying to say there are now 2 countries with higher health costs? If so, Wow ! Can’t refute that clear and cogent argument. So that must mean the U.S. is doing the right thing and the rest of the countries ought to copy us since we are so successful at it.

You haven’t refuted a single thing USMC has said. You were owned.

So the so-called free market system is the way to go in relation to healthcare? Better tell the rest of the industrialized world because they are all doing it wrong and only WE are doing it right. How could I be so blind? My apologies you are right the free market system is the way to go. The evidence proves it.

So your point is that population is the reason why we can’t do what other countries who are more successful economically in areas than we are. Am I correct in your argument?

I can tell you didn’t read the article I posted that studied the minimum wage to $10.50 did very little in raising the cost of the meals in the fast food restaurant. So your point about inflation is mute. The inflation troglodyte hasn’t reared it’s head to quitter the degree as predicted by right-wing economists in 2 or 3 decades. Why?

And again you live in a fantasyland. There is no credible study that shows this. Only your ideology tells you this but it is wrong and by that truth so are you.

What is the number 1 reason for bankruptcy in this country?

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/pf_article_109143.html

I could go on but I’ll let you embarrass yourself. And I’m sure your little jingoist admires will somehow declare that this is wrong without any valid evidence and they will believe the opposite of the evidence and keep to their ideology and admission that they are wrong, alive.

Really, then a good deal of people in other countries must die because of their single payer healthcare system. What a bunch of fools.

Lol, whatever man, I’ve explained this 15 times now. It’s not my fault you’re too stupid to get it.

Population is just 1 factor of about 100 factors as I pointed out months ago. Life does not occur in a bubble.

We have more illegal immigrants that do not pay federal income taxes than Finlands entire population.

No, it didn’t study anything, it estimated the impact a raise to $10.50 would have on cost of sales based on historical data.

Lol, no it isn’t.

<1% of Americans file for bankruptcy per year…

So the so-called “protection” the U.S. provides allows them to pay for their healthcare? What countries would be attacked if it wasn’t for the U.S.? Did you ever think that the presence of the U.S. in other countries may be a reason these countries are attacked if they are at all? Who invites the U.S. into there country? The population or the government and corporations? Big difference if there is an invitation at all.

You posted the same fucking article 3 times, lol… I mean, Jesus man, you can’t be real.

It’s been shown a number of other countries have significantly higher mortality rates from a number of kinds of cancer, along with additional illnesses that have much higher survival rates here in the US. So, in essence…yes.
