It didn’t work in San Francisco, so education will never work under any conditions? Right.
San Francisco was the biggest waste in terms of money per person. But it’s been tried in other areas NYC for one. It failed there too as it has in every part of the country. It’s not about education. As I said gay men are not stupid they know they’re playing with fire. It’s just that they don’t think they’re going to get burned. But they do get burned all the time.
I’m not here to educate anyone. I’m here to suggest alternative ways of dealing with the problem as I’ve I’ve already mentioned.
What is your “alternative solution” then? If you don’t think gay men are capable of being educated and of choosing to live sexually responsible lives, what is your answer?
All you’ve done is to highlight the sexual irresponsibility of a portion of the gay population.

That’s like saying, let’s educate people not to speed. People know it’s dangerous, but do it anyway, myself included. The only thing that stops us is the possibility of a ticket. We know it’s dangerous.
Your wrong about that. Gays lead the way in virtually every sexually transmitted disease. They also have a high incidence of anxiety, depression and many other physical and emotional problems.
Jail for those spreading HIV and STD’s and that goes for the heterosexual population as well (obviously). If someone knows they are infected and has unprotected sex anyway they need to suffer a consequence. They could be passing on a death sentence so why not use incarceration as a tool to protect innocent lives?
Zeb, out of curiosity if a gay couple lived next to you, would it concern you? Would you lecture them as you are doing forlife about the consequences of their unhealthy lifestyle? Or would you live and let live?

I have gay employees, and friends. I hope that answers your question. And I want to add that I am offended by that question. This is a message board, it is a place for the exchange of ideas. Forlife and I have gone back and forth on this topic for several years. While I do not agree with him on most points I think we both agree that neither of us wants to see any more suffering and death.
If for some reason that offends your delicate PC sensibilities you can move on to another thread.
So all of this discussion boils down to legislating against spreading sexual disease? I agree that spreading HIV and other life threatening diseases should be a crime. And I’m glad to hear you include heterosexuals in your proposed legislation.
A person’s sexual orientation is irrelevant. Those that spread disease, gay or straight, should be punished. Those that live sexually responsible lives, gay or straight, should enjoy the same civil rights.

Works for me.
It may work for you but I never said that. You tricky person you. Disease is more rampant percentage wise in the gay community. But I would certainly not want these laws to effect only gay men, that would be limiting their power.

Where did I say I was offended? You are very good at putting words in my mouth. Thanks for answering my question that’s all I wanted to know

I asked you a question, reread the post. “If for some reason that offends…”
