You had me up until this.
I’d hate to live anywhere where drivers are hot-headed enough to warrant having a gun pulled on them and/or where other drivers pull guns on other drivers.

Good, we agree on something.
What you talk about doing is…well…it’s just plain gay…mind your own business on the fucking roads…if you’re driving legally it’s your right to maintain a proper speed, but what you’re talking about…you’re going to get someone killed.
As far as being a fiction writer? Big difference between talking tough, in reply, on teh interwebz and writing something all by your sad self.
I used to dive from College Station to Austin all the time, and remember when folks would pull onto the shoulder to let someone pass on 2 lane roads. Texas drivers used to wave more often too. I guess thats what happens when you move from small towns to big towns.
I’m one of those guys doing 90+ mph. Yeah it sucks to slow down, but I can’t expect others to drive 20+ over the posted speed limit. If you move over and let be by at the first opportunity I’m happy. Plus it makes you way more considerate than the cocksmokers who don’t move over at all.

I just weave through traffic, much faster than staying in the “fast” lane.
I also enjoy finding somebody else weaving through traffic and we begin to follow each other (whoever is in the lead)
Last time I drove from Houston to San Antonio on I-10, there was 4 of us driving like that. Me, a black Audi, a Lexus, and surprisingly a Ford Focus, all doing 90-120 as traffic permitted. Beautiful drive too, all the Blue Bonnets and Indian Paint Brushes were in bloom.

what I will do, when I see someone moving up behind me coming all fast, and I am doing the speed limit.
I will move over in front of them typically moving to the left lane.
this makes them really mad and I get lights flashed at me and some harsh looks.sometimes I get tailgaters and people trying to run me off the road.
I dont give a shit hit me your buying me a new car.its that simple.
First rule of all traffic accidents is “Everyone’s Fucked”, regardless of who’s fault it is. And what good is a new car if you walk with a limp for the rest of your life?

I always get where im going on time, I have no need to go over the speed limit, I want to at times but I never ever have a need for it.
when I drive I am never in a hurry, its not my fault you are.
learn to leave sooner and learn how to drive.
get in a hurry, and thats when you have someone like me that will maliciously hold you up just to be a dick.
For some of us driving fast is the prerogative of buying a vehicle with 8, 10, 12 or 16 cylinders. It has nothing to do with getting anywhere, just simply going fast to go fast.

and when you get too out of hand with the yelling and the swerving and the cussing and following me to a stoplight you will be greeted with my pistol in your face which has happened a few times.
I tell ya a .357 looking out the window at someone sure does seem to calm down a tough guy real fast.

Careful with escalating a confrontation. You’re not the only person to carry a gun, especially in the South.

when they try passing me on the right I will speed up and stay right beside them.
you would not believe how many idiots that just simply want to be in front of someone,I had someone drive onto the shoulder at 95 just to get around me because he didnt want to be behind someone. and of course what made this douche bags day worse was he was seen passing on the right, off the road at a high speed by a highway patrol officer sitting in traffic.
course when I passed him a few mins later he was pulled over.
I just waved at him.

So someone is rushing to the hospital because an ambulance will take to long. You feel all Guardian Angel and get in his way. One word for you “LOSER”!! It’s not your place to judge others LOSER!!!
A person who would do the things MaddyD described would have to be such a loser, with no hope of being anything but that much of a loser for the rest of his days, that his only hope of improving his condition would be to put that .357 in his mouth and pull the trigger.
People like this have no place in a civilized society.
None whatsoever.
(EDIT)
Correction: people like MaddyD do have a place. It’s on the bus.
I DELIBERATELY GET IN THE WAY OF PEOPLE MINDING THEIR OWN BUSINESS AND DRIVING FAST, AND THEN WHEN THEY CONFRONT ME ABOUT IT, I SHOW THEM MY PISTOL. FUCK YEAH I’M THE BEST.
maddyD, people like you are the reasons why gun control laws even exist in the first place
I’m from Massachusetts. one of the only states that regularly makes you merge into the left lane to get on to the highway. That’s right you want to drive on our highways, better be moving holmes… Nothing phases me at this point in my life…I will fucking move through a what many would consider a cluster fuck of bibical proportions in a matter of seconds!!!
Drive where ever you want , left or right lane, just now that people will blow by you no matter how fast you want or think is safe to go.

I had a girlfriend lock up the brakes once because a bird was on the road. Yup…she came to a complete stop on the 95 because she saw a bird.
God she was dumb. Cheerleader dumb, but she was a cheerleader and cheerleader hot, so things were good.
She was excited because we were going to celebrate our 31 day anniversary. I absent-mindedly pointed out that that was a whole month. She went hysterical and fucked me right there and then. Post coitus she cuddled like crazy and even sucked my cock which was the first time anyone had ever sucked my cock immediately after I’d fucked them, so I thought it was pretty great. She then hastily dressed and ran out to buy me a bunch of presents including some great lingerie (for her) that she modelled later that night before fucking my brains out some more.
I often wonder if I could have randomly told her any given day was our ‘anniversary’ and if she would have believed me.
I left her for a smart girl I met in a poetry class. The new girl had bigger tits, a better ass and a great waist. She was also a lot more interesting to talk to and better in bed, but I found myselfing missing the sheer stupidity of the ex.
I never got back with the ex, but I hear she married some guy that owns a couple auto-repair shops and she is now a millionaire. Just goes to show that being a smart, good driver isn’t as important as some of you think.

Agree. That’s a real good way to get a hole in your head.
